Just what is going on? Why does Harry think he is qualified to pronounce on various political matters in another country? Why is he invited and who cares what he thinks? Am I the only one thinking he is behaving like a total numpty?

Yes, you are !

The UN and the Nelson Mandela Foundation invited him. And there is nothing you can do about it.

MoChridhe · 18/07/2022 19:40

Go touch some grass. You sound so bitter. It's not like he killed a puppy.

KatharineofAragon · 18/07/2022 19:40

Not bitter no, just gobsmacked.

You've had a sheltered life. Of all things to be gobsmacked about. You probably think Mandela cares about your opinion.

Readinginthesun · 18/07/2022 19:46

OP I agree . A few words about Mandela plus the obligatory mention of his Mum and his wife .
No wonder there was virtually no one there . Cringe .

JaneJeffer · 18/07/2022 19:47

You probably think Mandela cares about your opinion.
WTF?

notanotheroneagain · 18/07/2022 19:48

A 20 minute speech, over 19 minutes tribute to Mandela, and less than one minute of his own family link to the man, makes someone cringe? Oh please !

PeekAtYou · 18/07/2022 19:48

He was invited to speak so it wasn't Harry who assumed that he was qualified to speak- someone else made that decision.

LadyKenya · 18/07/2022 19:49

So tedious. Find something worthwhile to get annoyed about.🙄

KatharineofAragon · 18/07/2022 19:50

I am asking why he was invited to speak.

OP, you are right. I agree with everything you say. Why ask the whining one from Windsor?!?

We obviously heard a different speech !!

Badger1970 · 18/07/2022 19:54

I wondered how long it would take for Harry's fan club to rock up.

He's an embarrassment to himself these days. No wonder no one bothered showing up.

Fan club? You sound like a 12 year old.

notanotheroneagain · 18/07/2022 19:57

I wondered how long it would take for Harry's hate club to rock up.

In 543..................they start one of their deranged threads, what a surprise.

It was broadcast.
You don't sound as clever as you think, taking a pop at Nelson Mandela memory, because that is what everyone would be there for. And sorry to break it to you, but the man was a legend !

Jazzapples1 · 18/07/2022 19:58

And the other thing is, how did he get there? On another private jet in a climate crisis? Couldn’t they have found someone more sensible with a brain and more qualified to speak closer to home?

Readinginthesun · 18/07/2022 19:59

It is exactly like a fan club ! Borderline hysteria at the slightest criticism of a couple who are determined to milk their Royal links for as long as possible .

notanotheroneagain · 18/07/2022 19:59

Within the US ?

Readinginthesun · 18/07/2022 20:00

Yes they travelled by private jet

Jazzapples1 · 18/07/2022 20:01

Yes within the US!

notanotheroneagain · 18/07/2022 20:01

Exactly like a hate club. Not even borderline, but actual hysteria whenever Harry does anything at all. Who spends hours on someone they hate so much.

KatharineofAragon · 18/07/2022 19:50

I am asking why he was invited to speak.

Probably because he's more interesting than you? Seriously, I have no interest in the Royal family or is former members. But honestly, what is this fixation about criticising absolutely everything Harry or Megan do?

And it's Katherine, not Katharine!

Perple · 18/07/2022 20:02

I find the lack of self awareness and hypocrisy of him
and Meghan extraordinary- their political position is all about equality democracy etc - but they ONLY have a platform because they are part of a monarchy. It’s extraordinary.

ot also undermines the core reason of why the British monarch is - to a certain extent - acceptable in a democracy - that it stays out of politics. Every time they bang on about political issues they are themselves threatening democracy.

Jazzapples1 · 18/07/2022 20:05

Travelled by private jet! Well that’s a self-centred, self promoting act to take the job on. No consideration for the planet. Is he supposed to be a man of the world?

notanotheroneagain · 18/07/2022 20:08

H&M's critics , creeping, whenever H&M breath or move. 😂😂😂

They know it all before even the so called 'fans' find out.
