Last thread closed so I thought I'd amalagamate the latest antics for further discussion.

Also wanted to reply to this post near the end:

Perhaps the opportunity to contribute via cleaning jobs will soon arise for them, perhaps even faster than Andrew imagines, if he is up to knowing how to turn on a vacuum that is

He allegedly sent for a maid to climb four sets of stairs to close his curtains. I think he'd struggle with a vacuum Grin

Off to read up on the entirely unsurprising reports on links to the fraudster.

FFS what other sticky pies do these two shysters have their fingers in?

We have to remember, we will only know the tip of the iceberg

What a morally bankrupt pair they are. It's greed

I'm losing sympathy for the daughters now, they must know some of what their parents are up to. If not, they're deluded

queenofarles · 01/04/2022 12:06

Great title for a book OP Grin.

worriedaboutmoney2022 · 01/04/2022 12:16

There could be a whole spin off series from the crown couldn't there there's endless material!!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/04/2022 12:24

I hadn't heard about the latest case against Andrew - does anyone know if this is new or something being rehashed?

Either way you have to wonder if there are any levels he wouldn't sink to

queenofarles · 01/04/2022 12:35

Either way you have to wonder if there are any levels he wouldn't sink to I agree, you’d think with the way he looks down on everyone else he’d have some standards, he is just shameless.

niveaessential · 01/04/2022 12:36

Why blame PA? it was Turk who swindled the money and used it for whatever reason. Do you honestly believe that Turk would admit to PA that he swindled the 1 million he gave to him?

Roussette · 01/04/2022 13:13

Ummm unless I have this wrong PA too money, some £750,000 in 2019.

Why?

Then a further £350,000 to PA, then £225,000 to SF. All following Pitch at the Palace

Are you saying NiveaEssential you wouldn't query if £1,000,000 landed in your bank account and ask why?

It was repaid two years later I believe. I bet it was!

Roussette · 01/04/2022 13:13

*took

queenofarles · 01/04/2022 13:44

It doesn’t say why he accepted the money , only that he just returned later when Ms Isblien said it was a scam, why would he accept the money from her in first place , it’s actually not that much come to think of it, it just gives the impression of him being a money grubber , accepting money with no questions asked Confused.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/04/2022 13:48

Do you honestly believe that Turk would admit to PA that he swindled the 1 million he gave to him?

With what's publicly known of Andrew's behaviour and attitudes it's entirely possible that Turk felt he'd found a fellow mind, so who knows?

Otherwise it becomes just another royal "Ooooo I didn't know!!", and frankly that excuse is wearing a little thin

No I don't think PA would ask were the money came from, why would he? it's not his business how Turk gets his money.
Roussette · 01/04/2022 14:41

It's a bit like SF returning Epstein's money when it all came out what he was like. She was quite happy to take it after he'd been convicted of sex crimes and then issued the usual oh I'm So Sorry blah blah, when the water started getting a little hot.
Doubtless she would've kept it if she could.
Doubtless they would've kept this million if they could.

No I don't think PA would ask were the money came from, why would he? it's not his business how Turk gets his money

I am not sure Nivea if you're joking or not.

I'll assume not...
Are you saying that a man can pay a member of the Royal Family and his ex wife £1million pounds and that member of the RF does not feel compromised in any way by this payment? And they should just think "oh jolly good, more dosh for me to spend, no idea why I've got it but hey ho"!

There was no reason for him to be given this money. I certainly don't want the Queen's Grandson and his ex being paid a lot of money for no reason. It's obviously dodgy, hence the current court case

Roussette · 01/04/2022 14:42

*Queen's Son (not grandson)

queenofarles · 01/04/2022 15:12

I don’t think anyone can play this one down, you just don’t accept money from foreigners without asking some serious questions.

niveaessential · 01/04/2022 15:57

I'm sure there was a vaguely legit reason like a charity donation or something. PA is likely a spoiled self centered manchild, who is surrounded by wealthy people trying to curry favour by giving him things. It's not right but I'm sure it happens a lot.

There was no reason for him to be given this money.

How do you know? Was it mentioned why they paid it back? claimed it was a loan or something?

this

Can't see how you can. Even when we buy a house here in the UK, you have to fill out forms etc. to prove it's not laundered.

Roussette · 01/04/2022 16:12

No. Not a charity donation. It was paid to him personally. And his ex wife.

The court case says it was a 'gift'. No, it wasn't a 'loan'
There's plenty of articles out there to verify this.

The fraudster won a Pitch@Palace event so I presume this was payment for it, via his client, hidden under the guise of 'sorting out a passport' and PA/SF were happy to take this money no questions asked.

Something 'happening a lot' does not make it right! He's been taking backhanders for decades. This is one that's got found out. He was exploiting his position.

themessygarden · 01/04/2022 16:20

God, so corrupt, of course he didn't ask where the money came from, he was used to getting money solely for 'his connections', he didn't care how the money got into his hands. We saw Fergie in action selling Andrews connections.

But they are all takers, Charles accepting freebie holidays on private yachts and private jets.. Harry accepting free housing, free private jets at his disposal, free holidays, from people he barely knows.

Who knows what William and Kate and the others are 'accepting' !

It has been the culture of their existence, hopefully soon it will all unravel.

CathyorClaire · 01/04/2022 16:24

No I don't think PA would ask were the money came from, why would he?

The question was why he was paid it not where it came from.

I'm sure there was a vaguely legit reason like a charity donation or something

And yet there are no reports backing up this assertion. All describe it as a 'gift' from someone who believed she was being helped with a passport.

The British News on TV.
Been watching the news on and off throughout the day, and this is not mentions. Think I just got a glimpse of that Torygraph article ( a surprise too) on my SM. Not really news.

They were rather reluctant in reporting the PC scandal, don't think they even touched the Prince of Kent story either. They jump on any other nonsense out there.

Are the BBC News reporting news or some kind of royal PR management arm. 😂

Blossomtoes · 01/04/2022 20:23

Who’s the Prince of Kent? And what story?

CathyorClaire · 01/04/2022 20:29

Reports now he's planning to use this outing as a springboard to a jubilee service appearance on the grounds that will also be a family occasion. Further reports that he's not bothered about public opinion.

Seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
