Last thread closed so I thought I'd amalagamate the latest antics for further discussion.

Also wanted to reply to this post near the end:

Perhaps the opportunity to contribute via cleaning jobs will soon arise for them, perhaps even faster than Andrew imagines, if he is up to knowing how to turn on a vacuum that is

He allegedly sent for a maid to climb four sets of stairs to close his curtains. I think he'd struggle with a vacuum Grin

Off to read up on the entirely unsurprising reports on links to the fraudster.

Fortunately a few people on Twitter screen grabbed the posts. That one was accompanied by a photo of a young Andrew all togged up in his flying gear.

😲😲😲

That is ummmm what can I say... ridiculous.

He's trying hard to wheedle his way back in, I'll give him that

Blossomtoes · 02/04/2022 18:08

Well whoever wrote that load of bollocks for him doesn’t understand the plural of family. Bravado my arse.

Roussette · 02/04/2022 18:09

I thought his mother told him he couldn't use HRH anymore?

Blossomtoes · 02/04/2022 18:19

Not officially. I guess Twatter doesn’t count.
MythicalBiologicalFennel · 02/04/2022 18:20

Andrew's Private Secretary, Amanda Thirsk told the D Mail, she could not remember the call from Stephen Buckland. She added: ‘As a person of integrity, I would not be involved in anything improper.’

Gosh it's like hearing Boris talk. The damage these characters do to British public life is immense.

A question Buckingham Palace cannot duck – given their own 2003 rules state that the £750k should’ve been classified as an official gift why wasn’t it declared in 2019?

An investigation into all of Andrew’s funding maybe the inevitable outcome.

Samcro · 02/04/2022 18:27

This thread makes an interesting read.
Sounds like all the york family are in on it.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/04/2022 18:32

Ferguson’s spokesperson said: “The duchess was completely unaware of the allegations that have since emerged against Mr Turk ...

That makes no sense; after all she could hardly know about allegations which hadn't been made at the time, though both of them could certainly have done a bit of digging if they didn't already know what Turk was like (which frankly I doubt, given other company Andrew likes to keep)

Ironic, really, that someone insisted they're "not allowed to accept gifts which create an obligation", if getting a passport was the price ...

he's got the sense of a hamster

Most of my hamsters were very intelligent and also far better at evading capture.

Just watching a prog about the RF on TV at the moment. The QM got a million pounds a year in the early seventies. At a time of economic hardship, she asked for another £3000,000!

This is mind blowing. You can see where Andrew gets it from.

Re the now deleted Instagram posts, I wonder if Beatrice or Eugenie spotted those and rang them to say "Mum, Dad, that might not be the best idea..."?

JayAlfredPrufrock · 02/04/2022 19:31

What sort of sense of entitlement must someone have to think that someone giving you £25k for a surprise party for your mum is perfectly normal.

Or accepting £225k to act as a brand ambassador is the norm?

Quincunx · 02/04/2022 19:35

It's been bred into them over centuries. Wonder if they'll be donating their tiny brains for scientific research.

OverByYer · 02/04/2022 19:54

They are unbelievable.
Plus he/ she can’t spell families properly. Thick as mince.

I'm joining up!

Thoosa · 02/04/2022 20:12

Maybe I’m wrong, but I have a feeling Eugenie and Beatrice have been used somewhat by their parents and I feel sorry for them that they’ve apparently both been dragged into this.

Growing up in the RF must be a bit like being raised in a cult anyway, but being a younger York, triply so. I wonder how much they’ve felt able to say “no” to their parents, how much obligation and responsibility they feel towards them.

Eugenie seemed to be pulling away a bit recently and publicly signalling something with her work concerning trafficked victims.

I hope marriage has empowered both women and given them some support and independence.

AnastasiaRomanov · 02/04/2022 20:15

I'm not so sure the girls are ignorant of what is going on. I used to think so, now I'm not so sure.

Thoosa · 02/04/2022 20:25

No @AnastasiaRomanov , I don’t think they can be entirely ignorant, but I do think they’re probably being spun to (gaslit?) and coerced.

I don’t get the impression that they’re wholehearted grifters like their parents. It does seem they’ve been drawn into their parents’ “business”.

I don’t envy their position or the conflict they probably feel about it all. First world problems, I know, but having to slowly realise unsavoury facts about your parents and maybe begin to distance or untangle yourself a bit I’d a horrible thing for anyone to have to go though.

Yes I apologise to hamsters. I was struggling to think of something with so little sense.

Both Duke and Duchess really are awful

AnastasiaRomanov · 02/04/2022 21:52

I see another woman has come forward to talk about her experiences with Epstein. It makes the blood run cold. What a truly evil man.

Blackbird2020 · 02/04/2022 22:07

If this whole saga is as crooked as it seems, I wonder if there’s any chance PA could eventually find himself doing jail time?!?

AnastasiaRomanov · 02/04/2022 22:09

I wondered that. It certainly sounds like he’s been up to his neck in very dodgy and probably illegal stuff.

StartupRepair · 02/04/2022 23:06

He 'put away childish things'
Except for the creepy collection of teddy bears.
