Harry’s legal proceedings against Home Office

Part of Harry’s claim will remain private. The judge has granted that some documentation can be withheld or redacted due to security reasons (seems sensible to me).

But today the judge has berated Harry’s legal team for breaching the court rules when a copy of the rulings were emailed to someone who’s wasn’t a lawyer. Lawyer Shaheed Fatima WC was also berated for coming into court without an apology for the “clear breach” of court rules.

Don't worry about it Viv I'm sure they'll cope

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 13:59

@Viviennemary

Their life style will cost hundreds of thousands a year to maintain. And the rest.
You reckon ?

This will probably be the 2nd time we see MM this year. A third since October. Can't imagine Harry's same ol, same ol brogues cost a fortune either.

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 14:00

it rankles they've done what they said and the pot of possible criticism is getting smaller and smaller

This ^

Chilledchablis1 · 15/04/2022 14:01

I am not in the slightest bit worried about them ! What an odd comment . Of course they are part of the family - where have I said they aren’t? I can assure you I am not the slightest bit rankled !!
Another poster stated that they were “ cut off financially “ as if it was the crime of the century . All I pointed out was that H is a multi millionaire and M wealthy in her own right .
If they are happy that’s great . I am pleased they visited HM but I see no reason why their spokesperson had to issue a statement.

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 14:11

Where did it say they issued a statement, when everyone says they confirmed. Chris Ship just said they asked, and it was confirmed.

Does not matter if they are multi millionaires, you don't let someone work for a year and say you won't pay them because they have money.

Roussette · 15/04/2022 14:26

chilled we're going round and round in circles on this thread. I've said why I think they said they'd been upthread

And fwiw you do sound worried about their finances, as does Viv

smilesy · 15/04/2022 14:26

Of course not, but what work are they supposed to being paid for?

Roussette · 15/04/2022 14:31

All the posters who were going on and in and on about them visiting HM. They've done what you wished!
Now drop that particular criticism because you've got what you felt sooo strongly about!

What's next I wonder...in fact, don't answer that because it will only be something daft and/or petty

They're off to support Invictus that Harry started, well done to them!

Chilledchablis1 · 15/04/2022 14:37

@ Roussette
Final word from me . I am not the slightest bit worried about a multi millionaire’s finances . Ok ?

queenofarles · 15/04/2022 14:38

Why would they need Tyler Perry's help if they are getting money from PC anyway

I can think of few RF who were happy to go on free holidays , stay at friends houses , go on friends private jets and I’m not talking about Harry and Meghan. It’s almost everyone !
No idea why they stayed at Taylor Perry’s house or at the house that belonged to a Russian billionaire in Canada when Harry is worth millions .

Roussette · 15/04/2022 14:40

Good.
I presume it's not worth posting about then if that's the case

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 14:43

@queenofarles

Nor do you or I know where Harry's money is sitting, or how his access to it works. I imagine PC has an idea though, if not, he could have asked if he is cares at all.

And the crew following.
Bellevu · 15/04/2022 15:26

Actually, both Netflix and Invictus have repeatedly stated that an income from the filming is going straight to Invictus. Harry and Meghan are not profiting from the filming to promote the work of Invictus; the charitable organisation will get every penny according to noth Netflix and Invictus.

Now waits for someone to point t out Harry will have a deal with OK magazine to cream off profits...

I too am intrigued to know what work they did on behalf of the RF for that year? Isn’t that the first year they lived in America? The year the Queen gave them to consider if their options of whether they wished to be independent or presumably return to the RF/UK
Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/04/2022 15:48

Harry didn't start Invictus he grabbed the ball from someone and ran with it

In fairness even the Invictus Games website says as much; instead of pretending it was all Harry's idea it's very clear that he was "inspired" by the US Warrior Games in 2013

And that's another reason I like it, in that instead of focusing on the personalities it gives most of the attention to the cause
Here's hoping these next games are the same ...

Roussette · 15/04/2022 15:51

@Whingasaurus

How is he making money off of it
The organisations like Help for Heroes have really welcomed more exposure, I presume you disagree with them then, do let them know...
Are you also saying he's not supporting it?
Ridiculous, there's endless coverage from these organisations who are delighted for his support.

Anastasia my comment applies to your post too

Whingasaurus · 15/04/2022 16:43

Help fir Heroes is a very problematic charity its Happy to give complimentary tickets for big events but fails to build disabled access for wounded vets.

The IG are fantastic but just watch the very tempered responses the vets give Harry on that recent Zoom and you can see there are issues. Profits may go to the games but Archewell can take its 95% expenses first which inc all Harry's travel, security and associated costs which now Meghan joins him won't be small.

mpsw · 15/04/2022 17:28

Help4Heroes is only involved with matches as fundraisers so of course they give tickets to those who would benefit from their services - that's what they're showcasing and need to leverage for donating me.

They're all about capital projects, but restricted to veterans of the recent Iraq and Afghan operations. They have done a lot (including the amazing white elephant swimming pool at Headley Court).

@Whingasaurus They probably can't make everywhere accessible, but is there a particular issue where they should have acted but didn't?

(Sorry, realise this may be a diversion too far on a thread about the Duke of Sussex's current lega ,action)

Roussette · 15/04/2022 17:32

Whing
It wasn't just Help for Heroes welcoming the exposure

Obviously he’s making money from the Netflix documentary that is being filmed! He’s directly benefitting financially from events he attends.

Roussette · 15/04/2022 17:53

As a pp said netflix and Invictus have stated more than once that all profits will go to the Invictus foundation.

If he said....ok I'm not involved with Invictus, i'm giving it up, you'd have a complete meltdown at how awful he was letting them down blah blah

Just give him a break FFS, everyone else connected with the Games seem happy and excited

I have no idea why you can't applaud the games, the exposure by Netflix, the donations that will ensue because of it, it just sounds like any excuse to bash the both of them which IMHO is pretty pathetic

AnastasiaRomanov · 15/04/2022 18:00

I haven’t heard anywhere that Netflix have said all profits will go to Invictus. Where did you read this?

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 18:10

@Whingasaurus

Harry didn't start Invictus he grabbed the ball from someone and ran with it and he's not off to support it he's filming for Netflix and making money off it.
The hell are you on about.

Every idea you think of, about 100000 people have thought of it. Some done a half baked version, some just thought of it and did nothing.

You are also trolling a charity with your blind hatred.

Vets have been nothing but supportive.

You must be boiling.............
