Harry’s legal proceedings against Home Office

Part of Harry’s claim will remain private. The judge has granted that some documentation can be withheld or redacted due to security reasons (seems sensible to me).

But today the judge has berated Harry’s legal team for breaching the court rules when a copy of the rulings were emailed to someone who’s wasn’t a lawyer. Lawyer Shaheed Fatima WC was also berated for coming into court without an apology for the “clear breach” of court rules.
@Whingasaurus

How is he making money off of it
The organisations like Help for Heroes have really welcomed more exposure, I presume you disagree with them then, do let them know...
Are you also saying he's not supporting it?
Ridiculous, there's endless coverage from these organisations who are delighted for his support.

Anastasia my comment applies to your post too
My only issue with Help for Heroes is that I don't think the "heroes" should be a charity case. If they have been injured in some way in the service of their country I think they should get all the help and support they need as a right.

It isn't anything to do with Harry I just feel the country should provide for them. I suppose if I think about it I feel Help for Heroes could do alot to campaign rather than fill in where the country lets people down.

Roussette · 15/04/2022 18:21

They put out a statement saying so Anastasia.
Of course you'll call them liars no doubt

Agree notanother even Invictus call him 'their founder' but of course the detractors can't stand the thought he's highly thought of for what he's doing. It must hurt so much

Ohnonevermind · 15/04/2022 18:24

I’ve never understand why people appearing in a ‘professional capacity hold hands’

Meghan and Harry have to do it, and this isn’t a dig at them - the papers would accuse them of breaking up if they didn’t but does anyone know where it originated ?

American Presidents have done it for years I think and but did it start there ? and they all do it apart from when Melania slapped Donald’s hand away. I’m guessing it’s incredibly important due to the column inches given to it.

I’m a professional, and cant imagine doing it with my husband at an event though. But I wouldn’t be attracting the attention of the royals.

Roussette · 15/04/2022 18:26

ohnonevermind I agree, I just find it babyish but what do I know, I've been married since dinosaurs roamed the earth 🤣

Ohnonevermind · 15/04/2022 18:31

I just remember Theresa May being dragged up the steps by Donald Trump.

I’d have hissed I’m the leader of a G8 country,
I can handle some bloody steps

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 18:41

@Ohnonevermind
I think it has something to do with the family being all involved. With H&M and other royals it starts with the public demanding to see their children.

With presidents, etc. it's all a family affair too.

So we either just see the president or whoever is doing the job singularly and we leave the family out of it, or we ask about the spouse and kids and expect a couple/family.

notanotheroneagain · 15/04/2022 18:42

@AnastasiaRomanov

I haven’t heard anywhere that Netflix have said all profits will go to Invictus. Where did you read this?
Invictus are happy with the exposure this will bring.

Well, it's not the Royal family. So perhaps the Sussexes do it as a mark of difference?

Ohnonevermind · 15/04/2022 19:38

@WinnieTheW0rm

Who had the bright idea to do it. I’ve googled it but it’s lead me to bush and a Saudi Arabian Prince holding hands which rather put me off.

Is it a gesture of equality, a gesture of protection, a gesture of love or a vote / approval getting mechanism or in Donald Trump’s case being a misogynistic turnip.

Samcro · 15/04/2022 19:52

Maybe they go conused and thought they were on escape to the country.
I do like seeing really old couples holding hands.
But not a fan of it myself. But then me and dh seem to walk along like we have rowed.. even when we haven't 😁

upinaballoon · 15/04/2022 20:21

When Princess Alexandra married Angus Ogilvy I think they went on honeymoon by aeroplane and as they walked across the tarmac to the plane they pretty well held hands. I had never seen a royal couple hold hands in public. Perhaps I'm rambling. Perhaps I misremember. Perhaps they did.

WinnieTheW0rm · 15/04/2022 20:38

Royals hardly ever touch each other in public. I mean they do every now and again (like when they've just married) but it's rare.

Addicted2Crisps · 15/04/2022 21:04

@OverByYer

Another case of Harry wanting the penny and the bun. The privilege without the effort. The privacy but the opportunity to capitalise on the privacy case itself. Narcissism and self pity.
The guy hasn't asked to be born into that position and is making the best of it. I think good luck to him. His family is dysfunctional and he has already said his mental health is affected.

Apparently Donald Trump has a fear of stairs and needs to hold someone’s hand! Melania pulling her hand away was the ultimate passive aggressive act.
Bellevu · 16/04/2022 00:16

I'm loving how the leaders and insider sources have been outflanked by Harry and Meghan. So much flapping for a couple the Mail and many posters tell us are irrelevant Easter Grin

Poor Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel, financially cut off by his employer at the tender age of 36 just because he quit his job 😭💔

cavalatete · 16/04/2022 07:49

Well over in The Netherlands H&M have been afforded VVIP status which brings much enhanced security. They're not, however, meeting the Dutch royal family. Apparently.

If this is true it's interesting. It would seem that their status is elevated in NL which would signal to me that the Dutch don't want to run the risk of anything happening to H&M on their soil.

I know there's a lot of security around the location of Invictus too, more than for other events apparently. You can't just buy a ticket and go, you have to bring ID too and can be required to show it. While it's obligatory to carry ID in NL, you don't need to show it to get into sporting events.

I wonder too if foreign royal families can't be seen in contact with H&M for fear of being seen to raise their "non-royal" status. Katherine went to NL a couple of years ago and spent time with the King and Queen of NL. Regular people obviously don't and H&M are private citizens, so wouldn't ordinarily meet the King and Queen. Given what the Invictus Games celebrates, however, I do wonder whether Willem-Alexander and/or Maxima will "pop-in". The level of security would make it easy for that to be arranged.

Also, as an aside, the timing of it is a bit sad for competitors. The Dutch schools have Easter weekend off, but that's it. They have school next week and following two weeks off. This is reflected in ticket sales which are sold out until Monday but Tues-Fri all sessions are still available.

I didn't think the Netherlands had that status? (based on earlier posts on the thread) and that no official announcements had been made. Presumably all that has been noticed is that there are Dutch speakers in their security team?

They are meeting the Dutch RF - at IG at least

They will meet them at Invictus of course, but it seems they are not being given a Royal reception, not are they staying at a Palace. I think that is what pp mean by them not “meeting” the Dutch Royals.

tigger2022 · 16/04/2022 10:35

Invictus is genuinely high risk for terrorism (loads of Afghanistan vets) so I think it will have extremely high security wherever it is held

Roussette · 16/04/2022 11:03

Gosh. I wouldn't have expected that for one minute

Viviennemary · 16/04/2022 11:14

Everything they do needs a huge fan fare. Time it stopped. They are no longer royal. And represent nobody but themselves. People should stop pandering to their money making schemes. Its all pretty sickening. IMHO.

They are royal and will remain so until their dying day. Which winds people up so much more than Andrew's shenanigans.

They are no longer 'working royals', meaning they are not formally representing the queen which is what a working royal does.

Roussette · 16/04/2022 11:25

First time I've heard Invictus called 'a money making scheme'
Unpleasant
