No idea how anyone who was compis mentis could not have known what was going on in JE's NY mansion

A female human real life chessboard in the entrance hall, a montage of women's breasts up the stairs, massage tables etc.
Really,??

As for 'slutty girls' from PAs defence....well, it's a known tactic to besmirch a witness who's accusing you isn't it??

Many of Epstein's victims - maybe most of the long-term ones - have said that he put them up to recruiting others. It would actually be rather strange if VG stayed with him for so long, but never did so.

Viviennemary · 03/11/2021 00:17

How long did V G have associations with Epstein. She married fairly young so it couldn't have been very long.

TooBigForMyBoots · 03/11/2021 00:48

I'm sure it felt like a very long time for a sexually abused 14yo.Sad

Roussette · 03/11/2021 06:29

And the three 12 year olds shipped over from Paris to JE as a 'special birthday present' were they slutty too?
This isn't rumour or made up, it's in court documents.

It's low underhand tactics from PA's defence but hardly surprising. When you're backed into a corner, attack the victim.

It's the same as 'she was wearing a short skirt' and 'she must've been asking for it'.

I don't think you Purple really quite understand what sex trafficking is. Being coerced, manipulated by older rich people because you're vulnerable, poor, unhappy. VG had been living on the streets at age 13, and had been molested by an older man before being approached by the nice face of Ghislaine offering her a job as a masseuse.

canyoutoleratethis · 03/11/2021 06:45

@PurpleOkapi your views are so far beyond acceptable and archaic that we are clearly never going to agree. But you are missing the vital point here - it’s about context. We’re not talking about language used by you and your mates at school. We’re talking about serious grooming, sex trafficking and rape of minors. PA is claiming that the word ‘slutty’ was apparently said by GF to the sister of one of her ex-boyfriends, but the word is being deliberately used by PA to undermine GF’s character - it’s what these sorts of men do. And it’s disgusting.

And you are wrong, it does matter. It matters to me, it should matter to you, it matters to all of us. This is not histrionics, this is about achieving justice for women, and how the powerful white men in this world get to behave. You may not give a shit, but I certainly do.

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 03/11/2021 07:14

The idea that anyone who would ever dare even think of such a term in reference to 17-year-old must be some kind of monster just doesn't jibe with reality. Terms like "slut" are ultimately an opinion about a person, and a grown man is no less entitled to an opinion about any given person than a teenager.

The male equivalent of "slutty" is what? That's right, non-existent.

This kind of Victorian attitude among women in 2021 is part of why there are men like PA and why the sex trafficking industry is still thriving. PA and men like him think that women and girls are there for men's gratification. They are objects, basically, to be used and then discarded and then shamed - and there are still women condoning these attitudes because those same women feel superior to girls like VG while having no idea what it feels like to be in their situation.

From Sean Attwood's book "Who Killed Epstein?":
VG was sexually abused at age 11. By twelve she was smoking pot. At thirteen she had run away from home and was in and out of the care system, and by fourteen she was living on the streets.

JE and GM were predators deliberately targeting vulnerable girls. VG had no secure family, was already scarred by sexual abuse and was in a desperate situation from which she was trying to earn her way to freedom (which she eventually did) after developing a drug and alcohol problem to desensitise herself. She was offered double the money to procure other girls for the predators, and felt she would be in danger if she refused. Not without justification: GM had previously made severe threats against her and continued to do so for years after VM fled, when there was a risk of it all being made public.

Read up on Maria Farmer's story to see what these predators were capable of. It's unbelievable, like something out of a film.

PA, one of the disgusting flies caught in JE's honeytrap, now wants to claim moral superiority (!!!) and perpetuate women's inferiority by suggesting that VG is a slut. And STILL, people are defending him. Just vile.

Roussette · 03/11/2021 07:42

@canyoutoleratethis and @ChurchofLatterDayPaints what excellent posts from the both of you. I so agree with them, and you've put it far better than me.

I honestly didn't think views like this were still around, we're not 1950. 40 year old men are not entitled to an opinion in this context, calling young vulnerable teenagers 'slutty'.

GM trawled school campuses, malls, trailer parks looking for a never ending supply of young vulnerable girls. Once they were hooked in by money, some had their passports held, they were threatened, they were loaned out for sex with powerful men.

Maxwell has tried to smear VG, now PA is too. I hope she stays strong and I hope she gets justice whether that be financial or prosecutions.

PreparationPreparationPrep · 03/11/2021 08:34

@PurpleOkapi
I don't think it's fair to compare the lives of these girls with you and your school friends.
These very young girls probably didn't spend much time in school or go home to their parents each evening. They were not even cared for by the state.

PreparationPreparationPrep · 03/11/2021 08:37

Sorry I haven't RTFT so might have missed this but has PA now admitted he knew or at least recognises VG as his counter allegations are that she recruited some of the girls?

PreparationPreparationPrep · 03/11/2021 08:39

@ChurchofLatterDayPaints - thank you for that I will read up on MF

Roussette · 03/11/2021 08:44

Exactly!

canyoutoleratethis · 03/11/2021 08:46

Thanks @Roussette . I feel the same about your posts too. I’m just glad there a few of us on here that can see this for what it is - an absolutely disgusting attack by a privileged white male on an incredibly brave woman who has been the victim of some of the most depraved abuse - abuse which he was complicit in. I watched the Maria Farmer interview and it’s awful (thanks @upinaballoon for flagging this). What these vulnerable girls were put through is heartbreaking and they deserve justice. Unfortunately with attitudes like those on here still prevailing in our society, I’m very unconvinced that justice is what VG is going to get.

100% this!!

And @ChurchofLatterDayPaints puts it perfectly when pointing out that judging these girls smacks of straight snobbery. But that inability to see them as vulnerable children is why this country is littered with child grooming on an industrial scale.

ancientgran · 03/11/2021 09:00

I thought the "slutty girls" comment was from VG? I can't find it now but I thought it was from her.

Just found this, "Andrew’s lawyers quoted the sister of one of the claimant’s exes, who previously said: ‘[Virginia] would say, “Do you know any girls who are kind of slutty?" So not him calling them slutty girls but quoting a witness.

One interesting thing would be if she wins and get millions will girls who she recruited (if she did) come forward to sue her? I wonder if that is possible? It really is a tangled web.

ancientgran · 03/11/2021 09:03

I don't think it means he has admitted he knew anything about her, his lawyers will have investigated her, there have been allegations about girls JE abused going on to be involved in recruiting/abusing others.

Of course that doesn't mean he didn't know anything I just don't think it means he has admitted anything.

Roussette · 03/11/2021 09:12

@ancientgran

This comment from canyoutoleratethis sums it up. It's a word that is being used against her by PA's defence to besmirch her.

PA is claiming that the word ‘slutty’ was apparently said by GF to the sister of one of her ex-boyfriends, but the word is being deliberately used by PA to undermine GF’s character - it’s what these sorts of men do. And it’s disgusting

I've not read anything that would lead me to believe that would happen, given she is standing up and doing this for victims of sex trafficking.

“My name is Virginia Roberts Giuffre. I stand united with the countless victims of human trafficking all over the world,” said Giuffre in the video Saturday, which the campaign recognizes as national human-trafficking-awareness day.

“Let’s put an end to it,” she said, adding hashtags including “#EpsteinCoverup,” “#TimesUp” and “#EnoughIsEnough.”

notacooldad · 03/11/2021 09:12

Thoughts on Prince Andrew?
Too many to state on here. It would get the thread pulled and me sued!🤣

I also don't particularly care, because I think 17 is plenty old enough to decide whether you want to have sex with someone you can still be trafficked and/ or groo.ed at 17+ you know!!

I bet he’s sweating now 😆
I bet hes not.
He appears to be arrogant enough to think hes getting away with it as he is lawyed up with the best money van buy. He clearly thinks he knows best as he went ahead and did the dreadful interview where he claimed he was at a pizza place.

Roussette · 03/11/2021 09:18

Yes, notacooldad

Apparently his defence team's bill is running to many thousands a day. And he has a team in NY too. Not just here.

A Hollywood lawyer is on his books. One who defended Bill Cosby and Armie Hammer on sexual abuse charges. Just him is costing over £2,000 AN HOUR. Paid for by the Queen, i.e. us in a roundabout way.

If she said it then I'm sure she will be given an opportunity to explain or if she didn't say it she can challenge it. Court cases can be brutal but the way it works is the accused has a right to defend themself.

If you had been recruited by her but hadn't been abused by someone as high profile and had no real opportunity to get compensation, I assume it is to late to try and get it from JE, how would you feel if she had multiple millions and you had nothing? Maybe your life hasn't turned out well, you are poor and maybe have children would you feel you were entitled to a share? I think I would.

Of course if she is standing united with other victims she might share the money anyway either to the girls she knew or to a charity to help victims. That would be a very positive outcome wouldn't it.

Why2why · 03/11/2021 09:35

@ancientgran do you realise she was groomed and a minor one in the courts? So if anyone should be held accountable for the abuse of the girls she recruited, it isn’t her.

Roussette · 03/11/2021 09:37

Yes. She has set up an Organisation called Victims Refuse Silence. And dozens of other victims, not just her, have filed lawsuits.

It's worth watching the netflix series 'Jeffrey Epstein, Filthy Rich'. She is in part of it with Maria Farmer who was treated appallingly. If the FBI had listened to her back in 1996, there would not have been these victims.

Why2why · 03/11/2021 09:38

I’m intrigued by the people who are looking to absolve Andrew and place blame on Virginia. In their eyes, Virginia seems to be the criminal and poor Andrew is just being harassed for no reason.
