Fleas - you are correct in that it is the standard form (for about five people), but I always laugh when I see grown women or men still being called Prince or Princess. It must be a foible of mine but I find it degrading and belittling despite the fact that these titles are meant to do the exact opposite. I wouldn't actually be able to refer to them in this way to their faces (without laughing - think the Biggus Dickus scene in Life of Brian). It always seems like the incumbent of that role is stuck between the two worlds of child and adult - they are childlike adults (epiphany!).

Biggus Dickus scene

GrinGrinGrin

I’m the opposite, I cringe when commoners use prince/princess as pet names.

In an apparent bid to drum up gainful employment, the Duchess this week opened an account on the networking website Linked In, describing herself as 'a global humanitarian, businesswoman, best-selling children's book author, producer and wellness advocate'. The page also offered her services as a 'spokesperson' and 'producer'

Which duchess does this refer to? Star for the first correct answer.

EthelMayFergus · 09/05/2020 19:45

Sarah?

OVienna · 09/05/2020 19:54

I saw that LinkedIn.

WinnieTheW0rm · 09/05/2020 20:01

Children's

Agree with EthelMayFergus that it'll be the Duchess of York

BarleylemonPenguin · 09/05/2020 20:01

Ethel and OVienna - correct Star

I couldn’t believe the person specification. There are at least two duchesses who fit that job spec.. M may need to amend her profile just a little.

CallmeAngelina · 09/05/2020 20:06

Eh? Children's book author? Did I miss that?

Also, was she trying to flog that Duck, Rabbit book? She kept on about it, and showed it ostentatiously at the end, and when Archie clearly tried to say "Dada" made out he was saying "Duck."

Oldbutstillgotit · 09/05/2020 20:12

@ CallmeAngelina it was Fergie who posted on LinkedIn . Apparently she and Andrew are in a(nother) spot of financial bother .

TinRoofRusty · 09/05/2020 20:26

Harry's definitely displaying some remarkably similar Prince Andrew traits lately.

CallmeAngelina · 09/05/2020 20:29

Aha, sorry. Wine befuddled brain. I assumed you meant Meghan.
Good old Budgie the Helicopter. Where is he now?

ToastedHaMSandwich · 09/05/2020 21:25

How can she be princess of UK when she is American without British citizenship?

VeryLittleOwl · 09/05/2020 21:43

Tyler Perry - most of his money comes from production rather than acting. He outright owns an enormous 330-acre film studio in Atlanta (the largest in the US) where there are permanent ready-built sets, everything from a classic diner to the White House. It gets hired out to other productions (some of Black Panther was filmed there) and his own production company films a number of shows there, shown on the Oprah Winfrey Network and BET.

That is one big studio. Shock

callmeadoctor · 09/05/2020 22:01

Harry looks thin Sad

spinyffud · 09/05/2020 22:02

New thread needed....

Harry looks thin

Clean living and no alcohol perhaps means he’s lost a few lbs.

SunbathingDragon · 09/05/2020 22:40

Son of a monarch, brother to a King-to-be, reliant on wife's earnings from books and documentaries - spot the difference. That should send a very strong message out to LA.

What’s more, Andrew and Fergie are divorced so whilst they have a very amicable relationship, he’s reliant upon his ex-wife’s earnings.

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/05/2020 22:54

From what I understand, they are very much an item and have been for some time. They would remarry or would have remarried before the PA scandal but she and PP cannot be in the same room. I think it stems from the toe sucking scandal.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/05/2020 22:59

I find PP's attitude to Sarah Ferguson extraordinary, and inexplicable. He must be a difficult man to please.

Fleas I agree. There must be more to it than just toes.

Winterlife · 09/05/2020 23:05

I mean there aren't any directors banging on her door to offer film roles, well not yet anyway.

There won't be, either, at least not "A" list directors, as she can't act.

custardbear · 09/05/2020 23:07

What is PP's attitude to Fergie?
