This line from Duchess by Stephen Birmingham could have been written about H & Meg

I’ve only seen one episode of the Tig. It’s all I could stomach. So false.

It wasn’t a TV Grin

Although I have said before that I can imagine MM running a televisual version of The Tig - a talk show about travel, food, nice things, celebrity & philanthropy. Perhaps with a regular yoga segment from Doria. Prince Charles could be their overseas “organic” correspondent.

Dandyish · 03/05/2020 20:09

A TV series that should say.

Obviously it wasn’t an actual TV either though.

SunbathingDragon · 03/05/2020 20:15

Given it's already discounted on Amazon any bets on how long it will take to see it in charity shops for 50p?

I strongly suspect that anything of any interest in the book will be in the papers as soon as it’s released so it’s not even worth anyone buying in the first place. As you say, it’ll be in charity shops before long.

HarryDaylight · 03/05/2020 20:17

I think you've come up with a fabulous idea Dandy. Grin

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/05/2020 20:20

Dandy
A TV Oops... Grin Grin... ok one entry.

Anyway if this is to be believed she may be starting it up again. Oooh goody! pagesix.com/2020/05/02/is-meghan-markle-taking-on-gwyneth-paltrows-goop/

HarryDaylight · 03/05/2020 20:24

They could be the presenters of This Morning, but for very wealthy people.

mooching · 03/05/2020 20:26

I never saw any bits of The Tig. What was it about?

DianaTrentIsBack · 03/05/2020 20:28

She's such a sap. Going to war with The Daily Fail. Just enjoy the hell out of your baby and husband with your millions in your mansion, you tedious bint.

DandyWoreHoles · 03/05/2020 20:28

Oh my I love the way that article is pitching Meghan taking on Gwyneth. Now THAT I’d pay to see.

I just wish that every newspaper or media company would give them the privacy they originally asked for. But then totally. So no articles on archewell, charity, no photo's of them bringing food around, no disney, nothing about the book. Just total privacy. They so deserve that. Let them see what it's like to truely be left alone.

CathyorClaire · 03/05/2020 20:44

Agree with this. It'll be serialised somewhere and quoted everywhere.

I'm holding out for the charity shop debut for the boring bits Grin

Oh my goodness.. this thread is on fire!

MaddieElla · 03/05/2020 20:56

Wait, what? What statements on Twitter?

BarleylemonPenguin · 03/05/2020 20:58

The royal family must be thrilled. I, on the other hand, can't wait to see what Megs will recommend as our must-have Gwyneth-esque purchase. The mind boggles.

DandyWoreHoles · 03/05/2020 21:00

“Politician and diplomat Madeleine Albright, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. These are my heroes. These are my celebrities”

Really? The wedding invite list suggested otherwise

Grin

But George & Oprah etc aren’t her celebrities, they’re her friends. Wink

I hope she invited Madeleine Albright and Ban Ki-Moon.

ArchePenguin · 03/05/2020 21:03

clearedfortakeofd where did you read that self serving self aggrandising piece of arsewipe?

Fetid Times?

DandyWoreHoles · 03/05/2020 21:04

Gwyneth recommended steaming yer vag.

I’d like to see how Meghan tops or - rather bottoms - that.

Anal avocado cleansing anyone?

Archebaldpenguin · 03/05/2020 21:06

The papers are now reporting that H&M are looking for homes to buy with a “granny annex” for Doria.

What if Doria is actually behind it all...?!

SunbathingDragon · 03/05/2020 21:10

I do wonder why they seem to determined to burn all bridges with the royal family, considering they are so reliant upon them to be anything at all.

AgeLikeWine · 03/05/2020 21:13

As a republican, I’m loving the H&M debacle. Not because I give a toss about royal celebrity gossip, in fact I couldn’t care less where they go or what they do as long as I’m not expected to pay for it.

What I do care about is that their behaviour is bringing the whole concept of monarchy into disrepute and making its demise more likely. Vive la République!
