I checked their website, which is still up. It's divided into three sections. I've provided helpful commentary on each.

We can expect plenty of updates from ‘sources close to the couple’ explaining how they’re now thriving in their new LA lifestyle over the next couple of weeks then.

Their funds will not support their desired lifestyle. To hire a private jet to fly you from London to New York costs around £55,000. Suppose they’ve already shelled out £15m for their Malibu mansion, that’s made a huge dent in their £34m stash. Factor in their multi-million poundsworth of security. Unless they manage, with painfully little talent, to secure a very significant income stream, they’ll be on the bones of their arses in a couple of years.

I just hope that they're not schmoozing any russian industry magnates for a bit of cash.

I think that this is H’s inheritance from Diana, via her divorce, and the Queen Mum, aka taxpayer money in both cases.

£34m is the best guess at their joint holdings, SussexRoyalPenguin. He had substantial inheritances from Diana and the QM. She had around £5m from her Suits gig.

He also gets money from Charles via Duchy of Cornwall and Sovereign Grant (not sure about that for the future though).

Oh, and the reaon we don't know exactly what Harry got from QM is because royal wills remain sealed unlike those of the plebs. Sov to sov inheritances are also free of inheritance tax which handily saved HMQ a bundle when the QM died. Robbed the taxpayer though...

The more I read about the finances of the whole lot the more outrageous it seems. Right now they ought to be handing out millions to help ‘their subjects’. God knows that how MM views us

They set up MWX (Mountbatten Windsor) holdings last year. This is the umbrella company that also owns Travelyst, a for profit company.
I dislike the fact that Harry carries on as if this is a charitable concern when it is a profit making vehicle for them both - I guess a sort of Trip Advisor with an eco angle.

I can't imagine how pissed orff they both must be with this Covid outbreak. I imagine they had planned a huge media campaign, TV interviews with sad faces about being bullied by the RF, and now all of that has gone pooof into thin air.

By the time this outbreak is over, their time will have well and truly been and gone. I'm also rather unkindly hoping that Kate and Will let a few stories slip to "sources" to balance the scales after the scandal with Rose Hanbury.

I'm hoping that there will be a sea change in people's interest in 'celebrities',whether they're on the football field, in films or music and particularly on social media /reality shows. They've been placed on pedestals, which are proving to be pointless.

We're now seeing the real heroes of society, working in our hospitals, our care homes and our supermarkets. Low paid and undervalued for decades.

I hope their time has come.

I don't mind or care that they don't hand out money or that they're not doing anything in anyway right now to help with Covid.

I don't think they owe us that.

Except when they act as if they're to help us, to be our saviours or even our collaborators. But doing that they're putting the expectation on themselves. It's stupid, because of course people including the press are going to call them out for not delivering or mock them for their empty promises, and we know they're not going to like that reaction.

Brilliant that Trump has said America will not pay for their security, serves them right they wanted the quiet life, now they’ve got it.

Hang on, Diana got £17m from Charles from the divorce so surely they would divide it by two (half for William)?

And the Queen Mum left them £14m so even if Haitch got £10m that is still considerably less than £34m.
