A new thread in which to discuss what happens next in this saga.

And best wishes to mustress and thanks for her excellent thread titles.

Wendy same here with the raclette! I love it.

Ironically, having made the above comment, I'm not in general bothered about the meal posts. But I recognise that others have different likes and dislikes from me Smile Smile and am happy to scroll on and engage with what interests me. I have no interest in debating the presence of the posts on what people were eating - that would just make everything longer! It's like work emails where someone replies to all with 'why am I on this list? Please unsubscribe me' which then kicks off an interminable conversation about what emails you do and don't get. (I am now doing something quite like this of course.. )

Glad to hear the Queen and Philip are up and about. I'm not a wholehearted fan of either but I wish them good health. I hope Harry is catching up on time with Archie.

peridito · 25/01/2020 15:05

If there's nothing/not much to discuss about H&M at the moment couldn't this thread just come to a natural end ?

And a new one be started when there was something to discuss ?

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:06

cuparful

If you can't say something kind....don't say anything at all

We are doing our best to follow this advice.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 25/01/2020 15:07

Cross post! , I like the irrevelant chat mixed in with mm ph gossip , I think it lightens the tone!

7Worfs · 25/01/2020 15:07

The other thread title suggestion was Markle’s & Spencer’s

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:08

Do we want another thread?

(We haven't got to the end of this one yet.)

Shall we start a new thread, and just post when we either feel like it, or something happens?

I think we've done well to have filled thirteen threads with our thoughts and opinions.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 25/01/2020 15:08

7Worfs ohh I like that one!

7Worfs · 25/01/2020 15:08

I think we should keep an ongoing thread, posting is not mandatory for those that don’t see the point of it ofc

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:09

Oh yes - Markle and Spencer's was the second putative thread title.

ilovejeffgoldblum · 25/01/2020 15:09

Yes please mus, people don't need to read or post!

Butterymuffin · 25/01/2020 15:10

If people post when they want to, and not when they don't, it'll all take care of itself.

I do think try and leave starting new threads till we are right at the end of one, otherwise you just end up with crossover.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 25/01/2020 15:10

People don't need to post if they don't want to do they? The thread will end or it won't. It's not a "natural end" if you make an actual decision and tell everyone to stop posting. Also who decides what's worth talking about?

7Worfs · 25/01/2020 15:10

Right I’m off to the neighbour for coffee, laters alligators.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:11

I am inclined to start a fourteenth thread.

It is never mandatory to post.

It is never mandatory to respond to someone else's post, either.

It will be useful to have a thread ready, with people place-marked, for when something vaguely related to H and M occurs.

And I really, really want some raclette now.

goldierocks · 25/01/2020 15:11

Has anyone mentioned yet that Catherine DOC's next engagement is on Tues 28th Jan at the Evelina children's hospital? Info from KensingtonRoyal

I hope that whoever is responsible for updating SussexRoyal has been told to avoid clashes. The responses to publicising events that happened weeks/months/years prior are particularly unpleasant.

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:12

You're right ButteryMuffin.

Starting a new thread before Post 990 of the previous one does cause confusion.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/01/2020 15:13

Note to self- read the thread title as I thought we were already on Cousin Matthew Blush

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 15:13

I'd like another thread.

I don't mind what we discuss as long as it's done in a friendly and civilised tone.

How about

Markle's and Spencer's - Cousin Matthew's Return and the Robbing Butcher

callmeadoctor · 25/01/2020 15:14

markles and spencers wins it for me Grin

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:14

goldierocks whoever schedules announcements for SussexRoyal seems to be doing their very best to clash with announcements from the Cambridge camp.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 25/01/2020 15:15

I'm going take a break to re-watch some episodes of season 8 of GOT having discovered all the box sets are once again available on Sky. I do love a bit of Jon Snow on a chilly Saturday afternoon Smile

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 15:15

Or even

Markle's and Spencer's - What a Raclette! Cousin Matthew's Return and the Robbing Butcher

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:16

Myimaginarycathasfleas

Your thread title has a spark of genius about it.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/01/2020 15:17

I kind of threw everything at it. I might need a lie down...

TheMustressMhor · 25/01/2020 15:18

I might need a lie-down too.

I had a glass of sherry to take away the taste of the pink gin.
