Harry and Meghan - "It Has Come To This"

These are the words of Prince Harry. He sounded defeated. He has lost his military patronages. He is no longer living anywhere near his brother or father. He is moving to Canada.

Meanwhile, Meghan has been photographed in the park, with Archie and the dogs, beaming. It seems that she alerted the paparazzi herself. Meghan has truly got what Meghan wants.

I wonder what they said to one another when he got back?

I'm bewildered as to why MNHQ are permitting so many of your comments which are clearly against Talk guidelines

Presumably because they don't see them as against guidelines? Their site their rules.

There are some deleted posts on this thread (there is at least one deleting on the supposedly 'nice' thread too) so posts are being reported MNHQ are acting in the way they decide meets the rules and guidelines

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 21:59

Can I suggest that the easiest way to disperse the people trying to goad posters into arguing is simply to ignore them.

Just don't engage. They will desist.

Thank you AuntStella. I was just going to point out that this isn't a thread about the Duke of York.

You would have thought the thread title was a clue.

Apparently H&M are refusing to change "Sussex Royal" branding on website and Instagram:

www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1231503/meghan-markle-latest-news-prince-harry-sussex-royal-brand-instagram

Ok, so they're no longer HRH but I saw on the BBC that they can use it if they want to and they are no longer Royal but they can keep their "Royal" branding when the likes of you and me wouldn't be allowed to.

So....one rule for the rich, one rule for the poor.

And I bet they keep the hefty subsidy from Daddy too.

Hard done by? Don't make me laugh.

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 21/01/2020 22:01

I'm not convinced by the smiling argument. Presumably the paps could take hundreds of shots as she walked along and capture a moment where she seems to be looking at the camera.
But would they wouldn't catch you with a beaming smile unless you were smiling at somebody.
I don't believe the natural reaction to an unexpected photographer coming out from behind some bushes to photograph you is to give them a beaming smile. It is more natural to be startled. Meghan didn't look startled.

peridito · 21/01/2020 22:05

Mustress if you think posters are deliberately trying to be goady and make trouble I suggest you report them to MN and they can decide what action to take .

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:06

I always do, Peridito.

Seconding Mustress re not engaging in ridiculous back and forths.

So what’s everyone having for dinner? Grin
I did a casserole with prawns, cubed potatoes, carrots and broccoli, basic but tasty.

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:08

MeghanMountbattenSausage

Yes, it always baffles me when they say they want to earn their own living.

You'd think that the money they already have would be enough to live on for life.

I'm sure I could manage on £34,000,000.

I sincerely hope that those horrible paparazzi people won't be taking pictures of H&M on the same day as W&C's next public engagement... Hmm

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:09

Ooh that sounds delicious @7Worfs.

Did you use wild garlic, delivered in an electric car?

OP posts:
TidaQuel · 21/01/2020 22:10

I would never think to put prawns in a casserole....

peridito · 21/01/2020 22:10

Well if some posters are still troubling you in their supposed efforts to be goady I guess MN must have a different view as to what constitutes a trouble maker .
Maybe MN feels they are making perfectly valid points .

MrsBrentford · 21/01/2020 22:11

I did a Parmesan chicken thing with garlic (lazy - the horror 😱) mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes and tagliatelle.

7Worfs · 21/01/2020 22:11

If they keep the Royal and HRH references, they’ll seriously cheapen the Firm, and I would find that quite irritating. I might even say something unkind, risking being chastised by randos on the internet. 🤭

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:12

I always put prawns in fish pie.

Indeed. If certain posters want to hover around making hyperbolic and often asinine assertions who are we to attempt to prevent it? Free speech and all that.

I had no dinner this evening as I don't feel well - sore throat 🤒. If I feel better tomorrow it will be King prawn fajitas with sour cream and home made Guacamole. Last time I made it it was tasty but I added a touch too much lime juice and it kind of took over. I will be more considered this time. My children had chicken wings, salad and garlic bread - it's their favourite. I toss in olive oil and then sprinkle onion salt on the wings before I roast them. Very tasty.

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:13

But surely nobody would chastise anyone on this thread.

I'm sure Charles is just thrilled at this latest Meghanism, especially as he is their main source of income.

The arrangement is due for review in twelve months. Someone should remind them the value of their investment can go down as well as up.

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:15

Oh No! So you are not okay, WensyMoira?

How very unfortunate.

At least tomorrow we can all ask you if you're okay.

Well, I looked at the pap firm who took the pictures of Meghan with the sling and dogs: Splash, and it’s the same firm whom she called to pap her at the airport the other day when she was picking up the Pilates instructor. (No baby seat in car)

She’s definitely hired them. Same round eyed ingenué smile. The coy giggle behind the manicure.
She’s know what’s she’s doing... BUT
She’s 20 years too old for the young ‘oh my gosh’ innocent role. It’s all very Mommy Dearest, and rather unsettling in an uncanny valley way.

Poor baby “Merchie” , he’s now her golden ticket, and will be flogged for her dinner.

7Worfs · 21/01/2020 22:16

Envious of you all using spices and garlic!

I’m not putting any in our meals as am weaning a baby, but have rediscovered the plain flavours of veg and it’s sort of nice.

TheMustressMhor · 21/01/2020 22:16

Often asinine assertions

Watching “The Royal House of Windsor” Episode 5 “Fire, Feud and Fury” it’s about Diana and the split and her behaviour and my God it Echos how Harry and Meghan (the latter with the press) are behaving now!
