Previous thread

I’m not the original OP of the series. That credit must go to @TheMustressMhor
I just stepped in when the last thread filled up with no replacement

There is still an appetite for discussion / gossip depending on your POV.
I asked for MN to put it in the Royal Family topic as the subject is no longer headline news; but still ticking along. I think those people who are interested will find it and add their comments regardless of its location.

astralweaks - If she looks “a bit pregnant in that jumper”, she could be faking. She can’t help it. Next it’ll be incessant “bump” touching.

She certainly seems to like creating speculation which gives her a lot of media attention. Just like at Eugenie's wedding where she wore a maternity-style coat, strategically unbuttoned - yet cannot have been more than 10-12 weeks pregnant at the time given that she didn't give birth until May 6th.

I think it is part of a carefully planned PR strategy

I really dislike the way they've behaved and they way they continue to behave. The lack of respect shown to the Queen was unforgivable in my book. However Harry clearly loves Meghan and although I'm tempted to be cynical she appears to love him too. I don't dismiss Archie as useful to her, he appears to be a child much loved by both parents and I see no reason why she wouldn't want another one. I can't believe so many people are writing off the marriage. But I may be wrong!

Imagine a Royal Tour by William and Kate to Canada whilst Harry and Meghan are there, that would be interesting to say the least.

Can you imagine having your own father as a witness for the other side in litigation?

That's what I can't get my head around; if there was ever a chance of "repairing" the relationship with her father it's probably gone now

I'd wonder what the Mail have offered him, except I don't think it's supposed to work like that with witnesses ... ?

This is the thread that keeps on giving. My screen time is up 499% since it started.

Solicitor actually. 8 years PQE. Say whatever you like. You're the people on this thread relying on gossip sites to fuel your nastiness.

Have a good day enjoying berating a woman you don't know! Hope it makes you feel good.

diddl · 15/01/2020 11:42

*""that’s a very good point Planeplane, yesterday’s visit was a publicity stunt but who was she representing? Herself?"

More than likely!

But that's why I think that the RF needs to make it clear that she isn't representing them at all-ever again.

Nor Harry.

But why could she not have done this in the UK?

Too formal?

Although Kate also does casual at engagements.

Well there seems to be enough love & support for her.

Maybe Harry can be a SAHD?

Just posting this on here-was the 1000th post on the previous thread-never managed that before!

People in glass houses?

AutumnCrow · 15/01/2020 11:48

As it happens kirinm I'm a historical historian and I'm interested in seeing a key event in the historical history of our constitutional monarchy within a parliamentary democracy play out, in parallel with the gendered perceptions of agency, and the developing narratives around the psychology of the actors. If that's ok with you, obvs?

Iamdobby63 · 15/01/2020 11:48

I’m still feel anger about how all this has been handled, I’m also angry about how the UK is being portrayed around the world, I feel it is very selfish of both of them to do this at a time when the Queen is trying to cut back on royal duties and Prince Phillip has retired, it still seems to me like ‘we will take all the benefits but the rest of you can do all the work’.

I also feel sad, I feel that we have lost or are losing Harry, I feel sad and angry that we have been rather blocked from involvement with Archie, I’m sad Archie really won’t be around and know all his family. Might have understood it more if they had moved nearer Megan’s mother.

Yes I know I sound invested... and I am, I make no apologies for being a royalist.

Ps. Megan’s ‘pals’ need to STFU

notmoresheep · 15/01/2020 11:49

people in glass houses....shouldn’t do naked star jumps.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 15/01/2020 11:50

@kirinm why are you here? Serious question. You have to be getting something out of it. New thread and still you seek it out and get it on your watched list.

SpinneyHill · 15/01/2020 11:50

@Puzzledandpissedoff The mail is saying the letter makes it clear she was ending the relationship with him, that's why he's been called up because she is lying about the whole wanting reconciliation and 'he never called' bit.
He had a heart operation and the only contact he got was a telling off that he thinks came from H. She never contacted him or even asked how he was afterwards, it was lies to make him look like a big old meanie to excuse her ditching him.

While berating a ton of women she doesn't know and revelling in it. Own goal.

Alsohuman · 15/01/2020 11:52

Yet no one asks her if she’s OK ...

MissSmith1 · 15/01/2020 11:53

Who needs the DM - there's more than enough vitriol here.
The gleeful posts at the prospect of someone's down fall is bad-says more about the posters insecurities than anyone else's.

peridito · 15/01/2020 11:53

what's the difference between an historical historian and an historian ?

Cremebrule · 15/01/2020 11:53

kirinm Well please do correct our ignorance and give us something interest of the litigation process then rather than just saying we’re all thick. I don’t think anyone has been pretending they have knowledge they don’t have but you don’t need to be a lawyer to see it will be messy pr wise.

NotEverythingIsBlackandWhite · 15/01/2020 11:53

It would but it's never going to happen. I do wonder whether, if they relinquish their royal roles and stay in Canada when if Trump is re-elected, one of them will become the next Governor General in 2 years time.

If that happened Charles and Camilla would probably do any tour of Canada as it will probably be the only way they'll get to see Archie.

I agree with you actually @joyfullittlehippo the man sounds like an absolute nightmare.

OVienna · 15/01/2020 11:55

I think it's interesting that often he people who hate us criticising MM would be perfectly happy to have a good old bitch about Ivanka or Melania or say Thatcher (not saying that's you Samcro.)

Yes. And that would also be well deserved. Wink
