I asked for MN to put it in the Royal Family topic as the subject is no longer headline news; but still ticking along. I think those people who are interested will find it and add their comments regardless of its location.

The Cambridges have more engagements than are ever usually reported in the press. So just about any day the Sussexes release a pic, it will clash with something.

I don't see malice towards the Cambridges in the timing, and indeed welcome the extra attention it has brought to the more unsung parts of Royal engagements

The whole thing from dating to engagement to wedding to baby to 'surviving' to nuclear has happened so fast it is like a speeded up film. I can still remember what I wore sitting on the couch watching the wedding! Feel like I've had about 1 haircut and 1 holiday while they have led multiple lives. Hope the pace continues and it is not long before he is back drinking with his old mates and giving Chelsey a call...

That assumes that Meghan has a shred of altruism. She couldn’t give a shit about anyone else’s feelings. She is only interested in herself. Why is why it’s so ironic to see her patronising genuinely vulnerable people. She’s only there for the photo op. She’s keeping herself ‘relevant’.

Those impromptu visits, what is that about ? I feel annoyed now. One thing to want to step down from royal life, and yet there is Meghan, paying visits in the manner of a royal, but all on her own terms. All so weird ! Maybe she just has a hugely inflated sense of her own importance? Wants to upstage Kate ? Flick the Vs at the UK ?

About Thomas Markle before the wedding, I think there was a huge over reaction to the staged photos, okay it was silly and embarrassing but the photos weren't that bad it's not as if he was pictured dry humping a picture of the Queen. It was badly handled all round, again.

On the pending court case, it does seem as if Associated Newspapers are going for the jugular. If the case goes ahead, especially on the back of this current situation, it will be hideous and I think will damage both Harry and Meghan. I'm hoping some wise heads prevail, some sort of compromise and dignified way out of it can be found, one that let's both sides save face.

I think they could argue a case for keeping all the £2m+ they receive from he Duchy of Cornwall for working as part-time royals. Someone said Harry has no royal duties between today and May and, if that is the case, that isn't exactly my idea of full time work. How little will he work as a part-time royal?

If he isn’t living in the UK I imagine very little work indeed. The flights are not eco friendly, they shouldn’t be flying back to trundle around for an hour or two showing their faces ( or his face) before pissing off back again to their luxury bolt hole. Paid for by the British tax payer.

I think Meghan has become indoctrinated since her marriage and entry to RF into the notion of her visits and tours bringing publicity and help to various causes .Which of course they probably do by raising their profile .
So she's just carrying on ,probably makes her feel good and also important .

It's what the RF do ,she's married to a Prince .I can follow the logic .

I don't get all these comments about hating the UK and it not being good enough for her .I think she found the protocols of being in RF here stifling .I'm sure they are .If she can carry on doing her "good works " visits on her own terms ,I don't see the harm .It will raise the organisations profile ,and that surely is a good thing ?

So Meghan is visiting "climate justice" groups while taking 2 flights a day hmm
She has no self-awareness whatsoever. You'd have thought she would have known better after the whole climate change preaching whilst taking private jets.

If she wasn't invited to these groups then why on earth did she visit them? The only reasons I can think of are:

1. To try and take the limelight off W&K when they visited Bradford.
2. To show she won't toe the line and be restricted in any way - letting us know she's in charge of her own life.

She'll probably stay indoors today, or at least until Harry has done his amazingly important job of pulling a few rugby team names out at BP.

Meglomaniac Meghan, if you're reading this, you need to STFU about climate change. You will never be able to preach about it again because of your hypocracy. When are you going to realise that?

Someone made a comment earlier about them wanting to step down because of press intrusion. That wasn't what they said at all. They said that they wanted to give up some (a small part of) their funding and not be 'senior' royals so that they could earn money (lots of) from being royal. And live in multiple places (while lecturing us about climate change). And only have the 'nice' press allowed to follow them and write about them (control the press on their terms).

Oh and they might 'collaborate' with the Queen - remember her!!!

I wonder how the finances for the transition are working for these impromptu, unofficial visits has been arranged? The daily flights plus onward travel etc for herself, her staff and the security team.

I hope PC tells them they have their normal money from him this year, 50% next year, 25% the following year, and then nothing.

And only on the basis that they don't trade on a Royal title (or it will be removed), and that they sign an NDA.
