I've just seen a piece on BBC Breakfast about her garden at Chelsea. The Cambridge DC had a chance to run around in it (privileged beasts, no one gets to do that!) and they looked really happy it.

Are we still talking about the embargo here, I’m out of touch but fascinated

beanaseireann · 20/05/2019 17:54

What embargo ?

elephantmarch · 20/05/2019 20:28

I feel like you’ve moved on and I’m out of touch. But I’m interested in any developments

lyralalala · 20/05/2019 20:49

Moved on from what?

BishopBrennansArse · 20/05/2019 21:55

Are you on about the 'rural rival' situation? Because these threads are more about sex chairs.

@elephantmarch I don't think there have been any developments on the original story. In the meantime we have been for a wander through the ages, critiqued some royal fashion and set a piece of erotic furniture to music. Other than that, it's been pretty quiet...

BishopBrennansArse · 21/05/2019 08:46

Don't forget the stick men with erections

Wheelerdeeler · 21/05/2019 09:22

I was thinking - there has been very little from the Markles since the birth of Archie. I think the dad made a brief (normal) statement.

What did the RF do to quieten them? There is no way Samantha would have passed up an opportunity to speak her mind now that she is the aunt of a great grandchild of the Queen of England.....

BishopBrennansArse · 21/05/2019 11:34

I reckon ££ we're involved

Do you know, @Wheelerdeeler, I was thinking just that this morning. Wasn't there some talk of a book by SM - "Diary of Princess Pushy" or some such nonsense, to be released around the time of Archie's birth? Either it was all just hot air or the Royals have got themselves lawyered up and put a stop to it.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 21/05/2019 11:59

@BishopBrennansArse thank you, I had managed to expunge the stick men from my mind. And now they're back.

roisinagusniamh · 21/05/2019 12:18

I reckon the nasty Markles have been paid off...which was all they wanted.

BishopBrennansArse · 21/05/2019 12:55

You’re so welcome. I’m such an amazing public service, aren’t I? 😂

Not to forget the song...

And yes, they have been very quiet. I doubt it will last though

Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/05/2019 17:21

I've been wondering about the GS (Ghastly Samantha's) book myself ... I'd have written MM for Motor Mouth, but guess that's subject to confusion Wink

Good luck to the royals if they've tried to pay her off as I wouldn't have thought it would last long - and anyway, is it even possible to bind someone with our rules if they're in another country?

lyralalala · 21/05/2019 17:32

There was something just after he was born. I think it was Samantha's mother that said they were right to keep Thomas away. And Samantha said she would get him a photo album of the Markle's as a christening present - I have a feeling her invitation to that may get lost in the post lol

Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/05/2019 17:44

That's true lyra, and I believe there was also some blah about hoping Thomas would get to know the baby and that they'd "held out an olive branch" (?) and it was now M&H's turn

I was thinking more about the potential book, though ... but I guess that assumes Samantha's capable of actually writing one ,which may not necessarily be a given

Wheelerdeeler · 21/05/2019 19:08

The duke of Kent and prince Michael of Kent. How are they related and why are they both Kent?

IHeartArya · 21/05/2019 20:28

They are brothers. Their father was George VI brother & was duke of Kent. Princess Alexandra is their sister.

lyralalala · 22/05/2019 13:39

They are both Kent because Prince Michael wasn't given a Dukedom when he married. So he stayed Prince Michael of Kent as he had been as a child. Alexandra is sometimes referred too as Princess Alexandra of Kent, same as Eugenie may still be Princess Eugenie of York.

I watched a documentary last night (i watch them first before my DS is allowed to make sure they are ok) and I couldn't help laughing at the fact that when the Squidgeygate and Camillagate tapes came out there was 0898 numbers set up where you could ring and listen to the whole tape.

Is that royal fanatical dedication if you spent that money on the hotline or just plain bonkers?

AppleKatie · 22/05/2019 16:26

Bonkers 🤪

Wheelerdeeler · 22/05/2019 16:34

Isn't the queen amazing?

Sat - wedding
Sun - presumably church service
Mon - Chelsea flower show
Tues - hosts a garden party
Wed - Sainsbury's event

She's got some interest and energy to do all these things. Even the walking alone would be a challenge for many in their 80s not to mind 90s

AppleKatie · 22/05/2019 16:37

Her stamina is incredible at a time in her life when many people are content with 1-2 ‘regular’ type commitments a week she has a very varied and full on life.
