@Myimaginarycathasfleas Thankfully he’s still of an age where sex and grownups kissing is repulsive so he moves on quickly from any who have mistresses and hasn’t, as far as I know, encountered the chair yet! He finds Edward VIII baffling as ‘why would you give up being King for a girl?’ so god knows what he’d think of VII Grin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/05/2019 12:25

@lyralalala let's hope you don't have to find out! 😱😂

AppleKatie · 08/05/2019 12:51

The baby looks cute. Meghan looked terrified, l don’t think I’ve seen her look vulnerable ever before. Poor woman.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/05/2019 12:54

Couldn't see much of the baby, but what we could looks lovely ...

nowifi · 08/05/2019 12:59

It's a bit much asking them how they are finding parenthood when they are on day 2 - poor things Grin

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 08/05/2019 13:21

She's a trooper, you have to give her that, tottering (somewhat inelegantly) on heels so soon after giving birth. I think the DoS is no mean photographer, so here's hoping for some better shots of the baby when the time is right and they feel like releasing them.

AGnu · 08/05/2019 16:46

Have the BBC got that right - Archie Harrison? I'm ill... Am I actually delirious?! How did they get permission for that?!

Alsohuman · 08/05/2019 16:50

Fucking Archie? Seriously?

LaMarschallin · 08/05/2019 16:52

It's unusual.
Is Archie the actual name or is it short for eg Archibald, I wonder

And AIBU for thinking that if they let out news like this on MN they'd be accused of drip feeding?

Godssake.

noodlenosefraggle · 08/05/2019 16:53

Archibald is horrific!

Alsohuman · 08/05/2019 16:54

According to their Instagram it’s Archie.

AppleKatie · 08/05/2019 16:56

I know a little boy called Archie Harrison. Nice enough kid but royal he isn’t!

Odd choice.

Presumably the drip feed is because they had to ask The Queen in person (and frankly If I was her I’d have made sure they looked me in the face and asked too! 😉)

RubberTreePlant · 08/05/2019 16:58

"Archie Harry's son". Fair enough Grin

AGnu · 08/05/2019 17:06

I think MM is trolling us...

lyralalala · 08/05/2019 17:59

The use of Mountbatten-Windsor kinda suggests they are not planning to use a title does it not?

PineappleFwitters · 08/05/2019 18:02

Just going to be Master according to various royal reporters' sources.

SchrodingersBrexit · 08/05/2019 18:38

Archie Harrison... really?! Confused I thought they would have gone for something a bit different.

lololove · 08/05/2019 18:59

Allegedly (according to the DM at least) Archie is what the rf call Prince George. Seems weird to call your son by his cousins nickname?

noodlenosefraggle · 08/05/2019 19:19

Why is Archie a nickname for George? It's nowhere near his name.

lyralalala · 08/05/2019 19:21

I wouldn’t be surprised if the royal children were taught to give a false name when asked like in the situation with the dog walker.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/05/2019 19:24

Well it wouldn't be my choice - in fact I think the names are horrible - but their baby, their decision

MissEliza · 08/05/2019 19:28

Fucking Archie I wonder how many people up and down the country have said that tonight?!

BishopBrennansArse · 08/05/2019 19:49

First thing in my head

Archie Harrison?!! sorry I know several Archies and they are of course lovely... but that is just such a banal choice. It's not even out there is it? both names been done to death over the last xx years. It's not royal, its not extreme, its just... dull. But I thought they did both look completely loved up, and Meghan looked very relaxed (didnt see the tottering in heels bit).

PineappleFwitters · 08/05/2019 21:26

Sensible move as he could always drop the M-W bit and be plain Archie Harrison if he wanted. And even when he gets his title he might not want to use it.
