A Royal Wedding. Exciting.

OP posts:

Who really cares though?

ChateauDeLaShite · 16/11/2010 11:24

'The wedding will be the biggest public event since the wedding of William's parents in 1981' - yeah, and look how great that turned out.

I hope the royal family have got better at taking care of consorts since Fergie and Diana

Pinkjenny · 16/11/2010 11:24

I want to see her engagement ring. And her dress.

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 16/11/2010 11:25

Chateau, is that "taking care of" in the way the Mafia do?

BudaisintheZONE · 16/11/2010 11:25

LOL UD!

Is anyone else going "Oh God that is all we will hear for MONTHS now"??

Just me?

poppyknot · 16/11/2010 11:25

Will it be an austerity wedding like his granny had, buying her dress with clothing coupons?

sparkle12mar08 · 16/11/2010 11:26

In some ways I feel very sorry for her. Yes she's always had a relatively nice lifestyle, but my god, committing yourself to becomming Queen of the United Kingdom, when you've not been raised as royalty knowing it would always be the case? She is one brave lady.

UnquietDad · 16/11/2010 11:27

There was I thinking he was always going to marry Cheryl Cole.

LadyWellian · 16/11/2010 11:28

Unquiet Dad all we need now is a war that's none of our business on the other side of the world... oh, hang on...

Nancy66 · 16/11/2010 11:28

At our school we got:

A mug, a coin and a tea towel for charles and Di's wedding.

expatinscotland · 16/11/2010 11:28

Who cares?

BiscuitNibbler · 16/11/2010 11:29

I want to see the ring too. Have they made an appearance yet? DD is watching Waybaloo so can't watch the news.

fedupofnamechanging · 16/11/2010 11:29

Call me a cynic, but do you think this is carefully timed to take our minds of the all the other shit in the news?

expatinscotland · 16/11/2010 11:30

Hope it's in summer when I'm out of the country.

oxocube · 16/11/2010 11:31

You miserable lot! I think its lovely news Smile

AbsofCroissant · 16/11/2010 11:31

Damn. I was going to be Queen. I would have been a fabulous Queen Abs, but Waity Katey beat me to it
[grumps]

On the plus side, he's slowly turning into his father

going · 16/11/2010 11:31

kveta · 16/11/2010 11:32

aww, how lovely!

UnquietDad · 16/11/2010 11:33

traceybath - LOL

I wonder if she will post on here. "OMG my future MIL is a right PITA acting all haughty and regal like it is her f*king day."

onadietcokebreak · 16/11/2010 11:34

I was only thinking the other day that I bet there will be a royal wedding to bring the country out of the doom of recession

UQ-such parralls with 1981

Lotkinsgonecurly · 16/11/2010 11:34

Love it, cute news.

Unquiet dad and Tracybath - what fantastic threads she could be part of.

I wonder if all the wedding party will do a choreographed dance?

FindingMyMojo · 16/11/2010 11:36

oooh the politians will be pleased - a feel good moment to bring the nation together during these tough times.

Almost as good as winning the World Cup for a government isn't it?

UnquietDad · 16/11/2010 11:36

Although in the charts in 1981, we had Adam & the Ants, the Human League, Soft Cell, The Specials, Kim Wilde and Depeche Mode.

In 2010 we have Cheryl Cole, Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah, the Black Eyed Peas, Joe McElderry and Rihanna.

Um.
