Keep your paws crossed that Penelope (also to be known as Pickle) will be right for Cheddar and arrive soon.
I'm a bit confused by her story, but she's an ex show cat. So hopefully will be healthy.
She's not yet in the rescue so we do t k ow her personality. But from what I've seen as show cats. They are pretty docile.

The rescue told me about her when O told them of Magic's death. And when I got to work that night. We had a patient called Penelope. So I take it as a sign!

I'm trying to speed it up a bit but the rescue is busy.

She's gorgeous and Pickle/Penelope would be a great match for Cheddar. I really hope it works out.

My concern is they Cheddar is so passive and gentle, that she could be easily bullied. Though her and Magic turned into a great double act. Cheddar is used to a multi cat household.

I think I'll be gutted if she doesn't come for any reason. I really want her!

Currently having an argument with my mum, who refuses to call her pickle. She claims cheddar agrees with her. cheddar does not agree with her, she likes cats to have food names. Though maybe I should call her Parmesan?

Pickle is a fab cat name, and goes particularly well with Cheddar

It's been suggested I get a third called Cracker.

She does not look like a Parmesan. With that lovely grey she looks more like a Cornish Yarg or a French Morbier. Hmm, I quite like the name Morbier, nickname Morbie.

Oooh, I have been on tenterhooks for this thread! I hope Penelope Pickle is the cat to fill your cat-shaped hole. Will she be a diva like her namesake?

Since she was a show cat, possibly! She can't be anymore of a diva than the late Maia. Did I get told off if the duvet wasn't folded back, to her satisfaction.

Soooooo hoping to hear she’s settled with you and Cheddar soon. Pickles is a fab name.

She looks beautiful and was obviously a star show at. pickle goes so well with Cheddar.

Y family are still having a discussion on watsapp about what she will be called. My mum is still refusing to call her Pickle and is suggesting Phoebe. My sister is instigating on Gherkin. 🙄

If you're considering a third called Cracker, surely Penelope has to become Chutney? Cheddar, Chutney and Cracker. Mmmm hungry!

It has been suggested. But don't think I could manage 3. Still waiting to hear from the rescue. She said she'd chase it up. But they've been busy with a poorly one. (Who I think I'd have PTS to be quite honest)

Hmm. Who will be the actual cat slaves? Send to me it's the feeders/groomers/eye-booger-pickers/litter-tray-emptiers etc who get to close the name, not the swan-in-for-stroke-and-swam-out-agains.
