I have three cats here who strongly disagree. Although they do admit that Leroy is very handsome.

Karl just doesn't understand the depths of your iniquity Super.

And I'm afraid Basil, (supported by Sybil) are already plotting revenge

But Leroy is indeed amongst the best black cats ever 🤣.

But the hissing! The growling! The yowling! The fighting me when I have to pick him up! And it really only is black cats 🤷🏼‍♀️ Is he really self aware enough to see only black cats as competitors and all others as potential playmates?

Its doing my head in!

He thanks you all for acknowledging his beauty and (equal) bestness though 🥰

Supersimkin2 · 18/03/2023 20:53

I’m blaming the proofreader for the shameful omission of ‘arguably’ from my earlier post.

Supersimkin2 · 18/03/2023 21:02

Wish I could cuddle Leroy Karl and Basil
all at once now - humbled and ashamed of accidental offence caused.

Havelock will be in soon to
throw up somewhere unlikely, by way of group revenge for all sable caesars.

I'd love to do that, but Leroy would probably have their faces off (and undoubtedly mine too) 😣

Supersimkin2 · 18/03/2023 22:13

Is Leroy missing DS? He might need BFF time.

RumNotRun · 18/03/2023 23:22

Raven sends her sympathies to Karl and Basil for being snubbed in the "best black cat" awards. She understands her brothers Toad and Frankenstein being left out cause they annoy her.

Equally I think all the other Grumpy cats can understand Lenny (the scruffy little Herbert being omitted 😹

Nah - he's always been like it 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I think Leroy does miss DS though. He sleeps on his bed a lot and no-one plays Killa quite like DS does!

Allergictoironing · 19/03/2023 08:06

Rubbish - Lenny is fashionably unkempt.

Girlcat was also highly offended, but then realised that such lesser beings as humans couldn't be expected to properly appreciate the finer things in life. For starters, Leroy is male!

Supersimkin2 · 19/03/2023 09:38

Raven is absolutely delicious. Look at that bone structure on her exquisite face. Brothers are handsome heaven, but let’s not mention that while she’s listening.

Girlcat’s glossy and groomed like a celeb - very content and sleek, as she deserves. She looks really chilled Allergic - well done you on all your work, despite the awful bereavement. She’s so relaxed.

Lenny is a hipster. He couldn’t be scruffy if he tried! And he won’t try, cos he’s cool. He’s showcasing his boho rock star fur that lesser beings eg Keith Richards would kill for.

Havelock’s got the arse with me too and is shunning the place, swishing on through the garden with his plumy tail waving rudely. Our other neighbour roasts chicken on Sundays.

Squidge's new litter tray arrived - I'm pleased to say the advertising was 100% correct and it contained precisely zero exploding cats.
New bed as well, which appears to give her The Horror.

Attempted sprinkling it with catnip and I now just have a soggy well licked cat bed that she'll sit outside but won't set foot in. Luckily I kept the box, which she's deemed comfyGrin

As I have mentioned before, Frank and Fred both compete for one of the cat beds. Whoever doesn't get there first then sulks. Despite having a myriad of other beds, that is the only one they want. I keep having to resist buying another one as I know that is a fool's errand and will only lead to disappointment. Namely mine.

Thoughts guy & gals, on phase 2 of Tobias integration.

It's Easter in 3 weeks so 4 day weekend, and I was thinking whether it may be a good time to allow the Boyto leave his bedroom if he wants. Apart from his little escapade recently, he seems to have come to a bit of a pause in his familiarisation progress.

He will take chicken from my hand, and has done since the first few days. He doesn't look panicked when I enter the room & talk to him. If he's in the right mood & I'm gentle, I can just about touch his nose or tip of his toes (toes has been the last 2 days only) as long as I retract my finger immediately & don't try again that day.

But he still sticks rigidly to being in the igloo if I'm in the room or sometimes under the linen racking, apart from twice when I've caught him unawares. I also think he's bored - he has toys including a Molly's Mouse but rarely anything has moved when I go in there.

I'm not sure whether he does need to have his horizons expanded, or maybe it's just me being impatient. Honest opinions please!

Supersimkin2 · 19/03/2023 20:20

Let him out now. He sounds ready to go a bit further.

Allergictoironing · 19/03/2023 21:06

And there was me thinking I was going to be told I'm rushing things!

I think I'm going to leave it until I can be in all day for a few days, just in case, which means Easter bank hols. Unlike most, I detest WFH at the best of times & Girlcat's current clinginess makes it almost impossible to work, so I've basically agreed to cover for the days when the person who is leaving usually does, and the temp who has a sickly baby. With my own office day, and the "all team in the office" day, that only leaves me 1 wfh anyway.

TheSilveryPussycat · 19/03/2023 21:10

Oooh you can do live updates.

RumNotRun · 19/03/2023 21:32

I also say go for it and let him out, but I am a very bad cat slave as I have rarely done slow integration with any of my additions. They've just been let out of their cage and left to it.

I'm sure your way is much better and gentler, even if we have to wait ages for BH weekend/the live event, with many obligatory photos of course

Allergictoironing · 19/03/2023 21:36

Ha! If its anything like when he made his bid for freedom, all anyone will see is the vague shape of a furry bum squished in behind the filing cabinet!

Papergirl1968 · 19/03/2023 21:40

Yes, I'd say go for it, Allergic, assuming he can't escape outdoors.
