No jury would convict. As for the tender paw....:)

cozietoesie · 19/08/2018 22:03

Don't even mention it. Grin

Ollivander84 · 19/08/2018 22:24

He's progressed to head bopping and gazing

It took years for Mr C to beadbop me - you are honoured.

Does the little lad sniff you and purr?

Ollivander84 · 19/08/2018 23:07

Oh yes. And shouts mama. And does this weird thing where he runs his nose and mouth along my nose Hmm
And puts his head up for kisses
He head bopped me within about ten minutes of me getting him home Grin

Ollivander84 · 19/08/2018 23:10

This was about three days after I got him - he's on my lap

The weird thing is him using his Flehman response to have a really good sniff of you. Cats have a special extra nose for pheromones (behind the cute button nose) and he's breathing you in. He likes it.

He is communicating with you chemically, although you probably don't notice because he's listening with his nose, if you see what I mean. What he's saying may be lost on you, at least consciously, no one knows if humans understand cat pheromones.

Ollivander84 · 19/08/2018 23:44

Ahhh. Like when horses curl their upper lip back! Yeah he does that every day on my face Confused and sort of wipes his entire face across my mouth and nose. Just what you want at 6am

LanaorAna2 · 20/08/2018 00:08

Chemical comms are a big thing for animals.

Everyone always bangs on about how intelligent humans are with their long languages, so many words, etc., but no one mentions everyone else living uses far more efficient ways to communicate. That us oh so brainy bipeds don't understand.

Mr C has been known to sniff my breath, shake his head and sneeze. Rude Grin

I watched How to train your dragon at the weekend. Then I watched it again. Cried all the way through.

Next doors cat has been spotted, he looks ok. Which is a relief.

LanaorAna2 · 21/08/2018 16:11

Phew. Hope asbo's limp has stopped.

Mr C's off the ham - he hogged a packet of Wiltshire hand-carved AGAIN yest. That's 4 packets this week.

I've stopped buying it.

Ollivander84 · 21/08/2018 16:28

Told Ollie to stop sleeping in his igloo and go play in the sunshine

I think Ollie met you halfway there.

Papergirl1968 · 21/08/2018 23:07

Matt caught a mouse tonight and growled at me when I (unsuccessfully) tried to get it off him Shock

Ollivander84 · 21/08/2018 23:10

Growled Shock I read that out to Ollie who did a shocked face and "friends, not food" and says maybe he was trying to find it a nice home

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 21/08/2018 23:27

I need a cat like Ollie who only catches leaves!

LanaorAna2 · 22/08/2018 00:01

Growled Grin Matt's so proud of himself.

cozietoesie · 22/08/2018 00:13

Oneago used to GROWL when he heard the postie's van. (He really didn't like the postie. Grin)

Ollivander84 · 22/08/2018 00:18

If Ollie ever growled I would be dialling the vet ASAP Grin

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 22/08/2018 08:28

He was very proud of himself, and no one was going to take away his prize!
I wouldn’t mind but he’s hardly starving. He caught the mouse while I was cooking steak for our (mine and his) tea!

LanaorAna2 · 22/08/2018 20:43

Mr C has stolen so much ham there is none left in M&S. It's garlic sausage tonight.

We have both moved on emotionally.
