Help!
Went to walk dogs at Alderly edge . Our sons beagle has run off . A farmer had his shot gun out somewhere miles away and it's spooked her.
Spent 3 hours looking for her but have had to come home with the grandkids
Can anyone help either with vets numbers or Facebook
I'm not on Facebook
Grandkids are so upset and so am I tbh
We live 20 mins away in the car so are going back after kids are fed

Get someone you know who uses Facebook to post it there, It's the quickest way to get the message out, they could post in this group for example www.facebook.com/groups/1581847405329254

Thank you sent link to daughter in law. She's very calm about it but my son has had a right go at me. I'm so upset . Feel sick

@Mifacagare , the dog has been sighted running about near where she ran off.
We are going out in teams doing shifts all day.
Lots of hiding places

Put down a coat belonging to her favourite person, hopefully she will sniff it out and stay with it.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 24/11/2021 12:24

Done all of that and the rangers keep binning it .
Spent hours out over night . We are taking shifts
Posters are up , on Facebook , on Twitter , word of mouth.
It's horrible but also good to know she's running about so still alive

I am reasonably local but not in AE.
Try contacting Bindi's Lost & Found Pets CIC
They are a brilliant local search team and Im sure could advise
good luck

drinkingwineoutofamug · 24/11/2021 13:30

Thank you I will pass that on

Just want to say hope you get your ddog back op. You must be frantic.
Sad

drinkingwineoutofamug · 24/11/2021 15:56

Facebook message she was sighted again 15 mins before we arrived
We have now pin pointed the area that she's in
Son is back up there, me & partner going later and I'm going back at 6am as most sightings have been between 5am and 10am in one place every morning

Santaischeckinglists · 24/11/2021 16:09

I have read that ddogs don't respond to their name once in flight mode. Would a trap be an option?

drinkingwineoutofamug · 24/11/2021 16:20

We have tried calling her by my dogs name as they are best friends
We are looking into traps

Hope you get hold of her soon @drinkingwineoutofamug . We will keep our fingers and paws crossed for you

drinkingwineoutofamug · 25/11/2021 01:13

They're still out now. I'm sat with the kids.
We seriously need to find her before the weekend as bad weather forecast. They've taken a crate to make a trap.
My dil is getting trolled on some of the lost pet sites which is upsetting her.
She's following the advice , but one person flits from one site to the other making comments.
We are doing the best we can.
We all have to work
Kids also need to have an adult
We are working shifts searching
There are food stations
Her toys/bedding
Owners jumpers
Posters are up
We are there every day following leads
It's very difficult
We were told to take the car she travelled in to the area.
She's been in that car twice and is scared of cars so how will that help.
Sorry if I sound snappy but we are all tired
But all in agreement that dog is grounded for life when she gets home.

They're on their way home . No luck
Been frying sausages and bacon again
I'm going out in the morning with my dog

BitchIAmFromChicago · 25/11/2021 17:57

Hi Op, is this the beagle? It’s just been posted on a local page.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 25/11/2021 21:30

Yes that's her. She had bolted again. Spent 2 more hours searching. I've literally been there all day, but can't tomorrow as have to work. A problem that all of us have hence doing shifts

Contact Drone Sar they are amazing in this situation. This is their FB page.

If they can’t fly over the area to find her for some reason, they will help with ground searches.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 26/11/2021 07:09

We have now pin pointed the area she's in. Running between 2 fields and a small wooded area.
The people local to this are leaving food out for her.
I'm going back tonight after a 12 hr shift
We have a lovely person with a tracker dog coming out tomorrow

OP posts:
drinkingwineoutofamug · 26/11/2021 07:09

Oh and have set up a wildlife camera in the area as well

Fingers and paws crossed for you Thanks

NowNumber5 · 26/11/2021 07:20

@drinkingwineoutofamug

All the best with finding her OP.
We are keeping our fingers and paws crossed here too x

PermanentlyDizzy · 26/11/2021 07:47

There was a similar case locally to me recently and another in a specific breed group I’m in and both had happy endings, it just took a bit of time, a lot of patience (7 and 10 days).

Keeping everything crossed you’ll have her home soon.

Floralnomad · 26/11/2021 10:30

Good luck today @drinkingwineoutofamug , hope you catch her today before the weather gets much colder .

drinkingwineoutofamug · 26/11/2021 10:45

Some nutter has made a Facebook page .
My dil has a restraining order on her ex. He is not to know any details and put her personal phone number on it.
Absolute fuckwit . Don't people think
The phone numbers on the poster are for dog wardens etc
