Help!
Went to walk dogs at Alderly edge . Our sons beagle has run off . A farmer had his shot gun out somewhere miles away and it's spooked her.
Spent 3 hours looking for her but have had to come home with the grandkids
Can anyone help either with vets numbers or Facebook
I'm not on Facebook
Grandkids are so upset and so am I tbh
We live 20 mins away in the car so are going back after kids are fed

Vets tomorrow.
Gave her some metacam on the advice of the vet.
She's wandering around the house so tired.
Kids weren't fussed. More interested in the Christmas tree going up

Fantastic news Op 👏🏻
So glad it ended well 😀👍🏻

drinkingwineoutofamug · 08/12/2021 19:33

I've had half a bottle of wine. Don't care that it's pouring with rain.
I'm just in disbelief she was hidden by a gang of sheep!
I've not personally seen the farmers video but he was in shock as well. The dog went into the field and the sheep turned and went to her!
Today while searching, we heard her howl. Then after searching for a while, said to my dil why is that sheep so far away from the others?
We spilt up and when dil got to the field, the sheep where startled and the bloody dog ran from in the middle of them!!
If you weren't there you wouldn't believe it.

Then I fell in a bog, cut my hand on barbwire, tore my pants, nearly fell face first into mud as car got stuck and we had to push it out.

All worth it though

So happy she is home! The best early Christmas gift for your family.

TheSpottedZebra · 08/12/2021 20:34

Hurrah what excellent news!

So odd about the sheep! Has she lived with sheep?

overthethamesfromyou · 08/12/2021 21:23

Makes me think of this Smile

So pleased there's a happy ending - we lost a dog many years ago and were not so lucky so I was worried it would be the same for you

drinkingwineoutofamug · 09/12/2021 08:37

@TheSpottedZebra

So odd about the sheep! Has she lived with sheep?

Never in her life! The closet she's ever got to one was on a lead walking down a country lane!
It's the most wtf moment from all of these.
Happy to report she's had a warm bath, water was an interesting colour.
Picked at food and has slept all night. Unlike us humans who didn't sleep, probably due to adrenaline.
What was really cute, and shows how quick that a dog can switch,
Been in the house about 10 mins.
Son says to her sit, then paw. She did both. She got a treat. Tail keeps wagging. And I totally forgot to post the 2 winning pictures that we had been waiting for , she just sat in the cage and waited for us
