Help!
Went to walk dogs at Alderly edge . Our sons beagle has run off . A farmer had his shot gun out somewhere miles away and it's spooked her.
Spent 3 hours looking for her but have had to come home with the grandkids
Can anyone help either with vets numbers or Facebook
I'm not on Facebook
Grandkids are so upset and so am I tbh
We live 20 mins away in the car so are going back after kids are fed

Day 16
Dog was sighted by old farming couple who didn't report until son came home.
They said their working dogs had been going mental at night.
Let us go on their land but due to their dogs no traps , food stations etc, which we totally understand
So dil went last night to have bbq near the trap to lord her back to the area.
It's a waiting game.
Sorry no more interesting updates.

At least someone has seen her .

drinkingwineoutofamug · 07/12/2021 09:28

Dogs got a pile of Christmas presents waiting for her.
Didn't help when one woman told my dil to stop looking as her beagle ran off and returned 18 months later.
Trolls on Facebook have been banned. I mean who the hell tells a owner their dog is dead ffs.

I had no idea this kind of situation happened. How heartbreaking for you all! I naively assumed that as long as you could get the right person close enough, the dog would be willing to be caught. To see your dog trotting away from you, how distressing!

drinkingwineoutofamug · 07/12/2021 09:46

We are total enemies to her.
But apparently when caught she will revert back to domesticated again.
I'm beginning to be a dog catching expert.

I was going to say the other day you're getting to be quite the pro.

I had no idea either that dogs go into feral mode.

I'll happily bundle up the troll's and drop them off the Edge. Some sicko's out there.

Fantastic news.

How is she?

drinkingwineoutofamug · 08/12/2021 13:45

Did her usual beagle howl, wagged her tail. We got her out of the trap and tail was wagging. We all cried.
She had been hiding in a farm with the sheep!
She's back home, had a sniff about and got on the bed. Like she had never been away

So happy for you all. What a fantastic early xmas present. Please keep us updated of how she's adjusting to civilian life.

Daisy829 · 08/12/2021 13:58

Wow this is great news! I know the edge it’s a gorgeous place for a walk but so many places that she could have been hidden.
She looks quite well. She must be exhausted & hungry. Well done getting her back x

Roodog · 08/12/2021 14:00

Oh wow, so pleases, especially after the nearly capture before. I hope she's OK and settles back in quickly. What a wonderful result.

Floralnomad · 08/12/2021 14:02

Oh thank god and congratulations , your family must be so relieved to have her back for Christmas . You need to take a few days off now to recuperate before you hire yourself out as a professional dog catcher . 💐

Saucery · 08/12/2021 14:02

How fabulous! So pleased for you all!
