i think its series 2!
anyone know when this starts please?

OP posts:
Bleatblurt · 28/02/2010 23:39

I've just finished watching it on iplayer. I put the light out to watch but as soon as that girl turned up at the start in Lucy's office I had to put it right back on again! Scary stuff.

What an ace episode though. My ribs are all sore from being all tensed up for the entire thing.

Why are the series so short? I need more episodes!!

WingedVictory · 01/03/2010 09:35

I think it was Lucy's door, Hulla. There was that junkie who deliberately overdosed to create a door in order to pull her in, so the idea had been foreshadowed.

Perhaps they'll be all hearts-and-flowers about the next door, you know, hanging about the old people's homes for a gentle passing. They're evidently not going back to the hospital (George mentioned a shift at a cafe), which would have loads of Door action.

By the way, it was quite creepy how frightened Annie was of the bureaucracy: they were angry that she went and got Kemp because "there's not a form for that". Hmmm.

Where is our BH geek Squitten, anyway? Is she hiding and working on an expose to dump on us with a big explosion, do you think?

Divatheshopaholic · 01/03/2010 10:19

Hmm, It was Lucys door, but she did not go, did she? So hoping Lucy is now ghost I rather have Ivan back than Herrick. Ivam was cold and ancient, Herrick was jut weird, creepy looking one. I did not get the end, what was Annie about? and where the hell Daisy and the girl found Herricks body, I thought he was eaten by werewolf George.
I really enjoyed first series, it was all about they were trying to live human life. Its now turning into another fantasy Ott stuff like Trublood etc...
Im not sure, nust be me. I could not sleep last night
Cant believe its finished either.

Squitten · 01/03/2010 11:02

What a finale, eh? I must say that it was the first episode that actually made me flinch from fright! Soooooo sad about Annie! I was a bit teary when the boys were teary at the end (can Russell Tovey cry for the nation or what?!)

VERY glad to see Herrick is back as I loved him but I wished they brought back Ivan too - very sad that he got killed off.

This does tally with what I have read that the next series is being relocated to Wales (although whether it's actually going to Wales in the story is unclear)

Shall miss this show until they bring it back so hurry up BH crew - get filming!!

WingedVictory · 01/03/2010 11:19

Diva, yes, it would have been good to have Ivan back because he is much more human than Herrick. It would be interesting, to see outbreaks of "humanity" amongst all the Types, wouldn't it? But Ivan's personal weaknesses mean he's not as good a baddie, so Herrick is needed!

Mind you, that doesn't mean Daisy can't try to resurrect him, too, once she gets her strength back (though he'd have to do a Captain Jack Harkness job of reassembly as well as resurrection, after having been blown to bits in the bomb). And Herrick could support the mass resurrection! It would then be a bit like his mass recruitment of the last series. BH has already "recruited" another werewolf who wants to "be human" (Nina), and, as Diva points out, Lucy may not have gone through her door (we didn;t see her all the time, being distracted by Annie and Kemp).

Divatheshopaholic · 01/03/2010 11:46

Yes, Lucy definately did not go through that door like everyone else.
What happened to Daisy? Last seen her was in bed with Mitchell?
Also how could Kemp go through door, if he is not dead?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2010 11:54

shame dr j got killed

Dandi · 01/03/2010 12:24

sorry, late to this thread, but have been following. Loved the last episode, but was seriously scared. nearly jumped out of my skin when the guy with the beard hid in the chamber and then turned round to find the ghost of the woman they had previously exploded . And licking her lips too. Wonder what happened to him?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2010 12:46

see here, for wales

WingedVictory · 01/03/2010 13:55

That licking of the lips (of the Amy McBride phantasm) was quite gratuitous, though. Why do people have to bring suggestive sexuality into everything? Why couldn't she have been clutching her head and moaning (a la Edvard Munch's Scream) instead? That is her beef with them, after all, not that she wants to eat them. In any case, presumably she was a werewolf, not a vampire, and is not overly interested in blood.

Grrr

ProfYaffle · 01/03/2010 14:20

I soooo wanted Mitchel to recruit Kemp, he'd have been a great vampire baddie, would've been a fate worse than death for him.

SearchingForMyInnerJoan · 01/03/2010 15:45

Lucy was really getting on my nerves towards the end and I just wanted her dead so I did a little (ok rather loud) cheer when she was and then was screaming at screen 'No Mitchell please don't make her a vampire. I don't want her in series 3!'
And the thought she may be a ghost - NOT HAPPY!

They'll get Annie back.
dp and I applauded at the end

Divatheshopaholic · 01/03/2010 16:18

I agree, Lucy irritates me so much. We laughed when Nina was about snatch her.
Do you think, she actually planned the whole night thing, to bring Kemp into the house.
I dont want her in series 3 either, i hopefully she will be swapped to Annie at the door.

WingedVictory · 01/03/2010 17:29

ProfYaffle " I soooo wanted Mitchel to recruit Kemp, he'd have been a great vampire baddie, would've been a fate worse than death for him. "

Me too!

edam · 01/03/2010 22:36

I wonder if Annie's in Purgatory? Have forgotten the details (am not a Catholic, just related to some...) but the waiting around sounds like it. 21st Century Purgatory probably would involve lots of bureaucracy. (If you can apply centuries to timeless concepts etc. etc. etc.)

PamelaTroglodytes · 02/03/2010 00:10

Just seen the last episode and have had to turn the hall light on

very exciting stuff, I'd wondered if the girl in the underground dungeon would be back, and was sat like this --> at Herrick, I was really expecting Ivan!

Another vote here for a Lucy-less third series... She was incredibly irritating by the end.

ProfYaffle · 02/03/2010 06:49

Glad it's not just me who thought that about Kemp! Edam - dh said the same re Annie. It's depressing how going through the door is always so horrific, no-one seems to be going to a good place do they?

wintera · 02/03/2010 10:55

Was anyone else upset when it was discovered that Tully had died in the experiments? Loved Dean Lennox Kelly in the first series and I had hoped he would make a return but obviously that won't happen now!

However, that part of the storyline didn't add up. If the werewolves died in that compression chamber, how was Tully able to write that note to George on the wall in the other room? Hmmmmm???!!!

Divatheshopaholic · 02/03/2010 14:02

wintera, there were 4 werewolves died in that chamber. i assume tully worked it out that they were to die, or may be he was the 3rd to die.

Iklboo · 02/03/2010 14:04

Nearly peed myself when Mitchell called Nina 'Inch High Private Eye'

CJCregg · 02/03/2010 14:10

wintera, I was also sad to see that Tully had died, and I also wondered how he managed to write that message. Presumably he saw the others go off at full moon and never come back, and put two and two together - but if I'd been the script editor, I'd have made sure they explained it a bit better!

WingedVictory · 02/03/2010 15:16

My last post didn't work. What was the message on the wall? I couldn't see it on the screen, and am not about to start rewatching this on the i-player! Many thanks for accommodating my laziness

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/03/2010 17:55

shameless bloke was in first series?

Squitten · 02/03/2010 19:51

The message was something like "George - All the other werewolves died - Tully"

I too was sad that they got Tully

I also didn't catch the bit right at the end at Herrick's grave where the one who had her fangs smashed out by Mitchell said something about drinking someone's blood and being ok now...?

WingedVictory · 02/03/2010 22:05

Thanks for that, Squitten. I initially thought George could be given more credit than to go to this nuthouse, but thinking about it, I was wrong, as George was always against normalising and living with his condition.

I think Daisy went to find Cara after she was supposedly executed by Mitchell, and brought her a "kid" to drink and that restored C.
