mum seems to be keeping secrets from bad tempered dad.
do you reckon he is always this involved

NotAnOtter · 24/09/2008 21:42

mum seems to do sweet fa

the girls seem a bit dim laid back

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 21:45

the boy isnt stupid is he?
he is keeping well away from any controversy... so far.

NotAnOtter · 24/09/2008 21:45

parents of teens do tell them to shut up

llynnnn · 24/09/2008 21:50

think dad was just peeed off with being kept in the dark, thought he really wanted to help once she opened up to him and told him herself why she wanted to quit, good on him!!

i am loving all these girls lovely black hair ...

WendyWeber · 24/09/2008 22:00

Haven't seen tonight's yet but watched last week's with DD2, now 23, who was exactly like Emily at 18-19 & had the grace to look sheepish at quite a lot of it; & also watched it again yesterday on Sky+ with DS2, who is 15 & has been there through all DD2's Emilyness, & some of it made him LOL - the things the parents say are exactly what he's heard us say (esp "right, that's it, I'm going to bag it!" when she was going out without tidying her room )

Piffle · 24/09/2008 22:02

wondering what the mother does tbh
No wonder the dad is always pissed off
Think they are well meaning though.

NotAnOtter · 24/09/2008 22:03

lol wendy

i think it all seems quite peaceful for 3 teens

I imagine my 3 to be far worse when not under my beady eye

IllegallyBrunette · 24/09/2008 22:03

What does the mum do ?? The dad seems to be the one doing everything around the house, with the mum and the girls always in bloody bed.

IllegallyBrunette · 24/09/2008 22:04

I feel quite sorry for the dad.

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 22:04

yes i would be very annoyed at the two teenage girls just lying on the sofa.... amazing they didnt argue too much when asked to do their rooms/the dishwasher.

turquoise · 24/09/2008 22:05

Is the mum depressed? (I didn't see last week's). She does nothing except flop around - the dad does everything and works! How the hell could she say she'd been "too busy" to talk things through with Charlotte.

Fio - no wonder you were winking at me!! I wondered what you were on about .

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 22:06

i think we should be told what mum does!!

and she is only just 40!!

NotAnOtter · 24/09/2008 22:13

she 'works for a charity'

Stuffedcat · 24/09/2008 22:25

what version of 'somewhere over the rainbow' was that they were dancing to at the end, anyone know?

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 22:30

it was nice wasnt it

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 22:31

this

NotAnOtter · 24/09/2008 22:48

i have it on my ipod - such a heart wrenching song

SlartyBartFast · 24/09/2008 23:01

tis beautiful, and i just read that he died aged 38.

Fimbo · 24/09/2008 23:08

I watched this tonight for the first time and was baffled by the mother. She looked spaced out most of the time.
