Just watched 20 minutes of episode 1

Love it.

It was so funny. I lived it when Linda gave Sue the synopsis of the Apprentice because that’s just what would happen.

And when the friend came over, unwrapped the robot and then just buggered off. We all know someone like that.

Great cast and so funny yet poignant.

I thought it was excellent. I liked it much more than I expected

I'm watching this today. Enjoying it so far. Still don't get the accent.

Came across it by pure good luck, and I absolutely loved it.

As soon as I realised it was Diane Morgan, Sue Johnston and Paul Ready, I was hooked.

Can hardly wait for next Friday.

I thought from the trailers this looked weird and awful, but actually it’s weird and brilliant. Very funny but also really poignant and very thought provoking. Really clever comedy. This is one people will talk about for years for the right reasons, I think.

I think she might be recharged in episode 3? I loved ‘Sue!Sue!Sue!’

This thread has made me want to watch it! I love Sue Johnston.

I saw an interview earlier with Diane who said the blue contacts and not blinking gave her an eye ulcer, talk about dedication to the part.

Have they enhanced Diane’s voice or she is actually just doing the accent herself?
Not blinking must be hard to do.
I did clock Rylan. He is a good sport

Diane obviously suffers for her art then.
When she is explaining things it reminds me of my son who tends to go on a bit like that !

Sue Johnston is always good, but they do tend to give her similar characters to play . She could almost be Mrs cockfield moved back to the mainland ( although I haven’t seen the new cockfields episodes )

I noticed him at once and wondered how much he got paid for a few seconds work

That dark beard and amazing moustache took my breath away!

I always liked him in Motherland, but in Ann Droid he looks even better.
I love a dark moustache and stubble!

I like Paul Ready. He is a versatile actor even if he is the same as Kevin in this show.

I thought this was wonderful. Sue Johnston is brilliant - her face can convey so much without her saying a word. And Diane Morgan is perfect as the robot, not just her face but the way she moves. I was very impressed by how she stood up from the sofa without using her hands. Yes, there were lots of funny bits but one moment at the end of episode 1 suddenly and unexpectedly reduced me to tears.

Did you ever see Utopia? Paul Ready is VERY scary in that!

I also heard Sue Johnston on radio2 and she said she thinks Diane reminds her of Caroline Ahern. What a compliment
