What are your thoughts on Amandaland?
I really tried to like it. I really did.
but for me it just isn’t as good as motherland. I just don’t think the characters are distinctive enough to really stand out and identify with like in motherland. But I gave see on a few thread and fab groups that people like Amandaland and it’s just as good.

I think it’s great. Amanda is just so awful

I loved it - laughed out loud lots of times. Some cracking lines. Joanna Lumley brilliant.

I’m late to the party on Disney+ Rivals. Julia’s worthless husband plays a TV presenter worthless husband on Rivals. 😂

He’s also a useless husband in Trying (which is a fantastic show) - wonder what he’s actually like in real life & how much is acting 😁

I really like the actor but he played a useless husband in Maternal on ITV as well! (To be fair, his character was suffering from mental health issues after working through Covid.)

Love Amanda and Ann there are so many women out there like them! Love the programme makes me laugh and Mal is very easy on the eye

The writing is so spot on. Loved the Ann boy mom energy. And Fi finding her way. All felt pretty realistic tbh

He’s an actor! No seriously I think he’s been typecast into these useless dad roles. Which is good for work but not unless he wants to diversify.

I see Philippa Dunne has had a new headshot done for IMDb and looks great. I wonder if she wants to avoid typecasting, hence the weight loss and the role in Believe Me.

I’ve watched Derry Girls multiple times over but completely bypassed me that she was Claire’s mum until you said it here! Love Derry Girls!

I've just looked him up to see what else I recognised him from. He was one of the detectives in the first couple of series of The Capture.
