Casey did rescue the book from the shed, I noticed. I loved this series so much and I’ve watched it three times! I totally believed in the homunculi and I wanted to be Michael’s friend. He was just so lovely. I liked the way he looked after his dad and was so sweet with Hilary and Brigham. Long bike 😂

I want to know how this story continues.

I loved this series; beautifully written and acted. Really hope there will be a Series 2.

Kendrickspenguin · 18/03/2026 11:19

I loved this series. Will we see Michael go to Canada in the next series?

I like the idea that there is much more to the shop manager than we have yet seen. I know the "Have you had your break?" is about managers' need to follow the law and make sure all of their workers are getting the breaks they are entitled to. However, I also wondered if it was also about his genuine desire to look after people. He wants them to be able to rest and he does not want them to have to work longer than necessary. I hope we find out more about him in the next series.

'and I wanted to be Michael’s friend. He was just so lovely. I liked the way he looked after his dad and was so sweet with Hilary'

I liked the series, the weirdness of it all, it was easy viewing. But, Hilary needed sacking ringing him every 5 mins for nothing important, he needed sacking for leaving work every 5 minutes and Gordon the jobsworthy boss needed a medal for putting up with the pair of them.

I bet Clea left because like a lot of people he is oblivious/doesn't care about his very poor social skills. Though he was nice to his Dad I'll give him that.

Still, I'll watch the next series to see if she ends up in Neighbours, what the US relative is all about and if the other humunculi feature at all.

Sometimes people just give up and leave even if they will love aomeone forever. They can't stand the drama, the confrontation.

I don't know obviously, maybe she is caught up in a global bird book criminal gang thing but I'd bet his recollections vary and she'd just had enough.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2026 19:49

Awwww. He obv loves her. And she him

US relative?

Umanresources · 19/03/2026 13:07

Michael said that Clea was 'fragile' and they had met when doing conservation work. Perhaps ordinary life just got too much for her.
When Gordon was talking to the female customer who had the 'tit box" 😁, he reminded me of Perry the teenager in Harry Enfield's Kevin and Perry when talking to Kevin's mum in a very deferrential way.

The story had some faults, but I could forgive all of them because I liked the good main characters and tolerated the others.

GrillaMilla · 19/03/2026 15:15

I found it difficult to decide what was actually relevant to the storyline, but enjoyed it nonetheless

moto748e · 20/03/2026 21:23

I meant to say: weird neighbour Craig; did anyone else think, Owen Farrell? 😁

Is she the one writing to his dad from Canada? Pretending to be the dead friend?

I wonder how they would do a second series, more Prophets maybe??

Yes that's right she's the one writing from Canada pretending to be the dead friend

purpleme12 · 20/03/2026 22:31

@Umanresources I wanted to be Michael's friend too

It seems it is - found it

I will add to my very long list of tv 😂

Move it to the top of your list. It is utterly magical. I was hooked from half way through the second episode.

Have You Had Your Break made me laugh because it’s what our managers say to us when they want to be able to say that they’ve told you to take your break so their own arses are covered; but they actually want you to keep on working..
Be great if he is asking caringly tho
