I don't think it's wrong to say what you thought of the programme.
It's wrong to reference things that happen in future episodes though

Exactly.

I did. And I didn't post anything resembling a spoiler here.

I agree. Your post didn't contain any spoilers.

I agree. Giving a general positive impression can be helpful. Sometimes I haven't taken to a series initially but know from other posters that it is worth persevering with.

Ok. I've watched it all and although I loved the first episode, I became increasingly disappointed with it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2026 17:50

I have no probs with anyone binging @TheHillsIsLonely as long as no spoilers. Sorry you had a difficult day

some love. Some hate. Everyone is different

You did. You said you binged it and gave your opinion of the whole thing. That's a (slight) spoiler, because it might influence what someone else thinks as they watch the remaining episodes.

That's not a spoiler!

SirChenjins · 16/02/2026 18:26

That's not a spoiler!

That's a matter of opinion. FWIW I agree with @Womaninhouse17 ; "I binged on it and loved it" is a slight spoiler. I accept that is not the majority view here, though.

JustGiveMeReason · 16/02/2026 19:05

I've come searching for the thread, as I was sure @Blondeshavemorefun would have started one for us - Thank You!

Incredible the number of people who can't grasp the concept of not spoiling a thread - well, TV series - for people who watch each episode as it airs Sad

I am loving it so far. The whole alchemy / growing magical spirits thing is not my sort of TV at all, BUT (very much like the Detectorists) this is about the characters and the relationships MUCH more than the hook they have hung it on.

I am loving all the characters they are building around him - his colleagues and his neighbours.... especially the wife of the young chap spying on him.

purpleme12 · 16/02/2026 19:50

Your post points out how incredible it is the amount of people who can't grasp a concept of not spoiling a thread for people who watch as it airs... But you've referenced something that must be shown in an episode that hasn't aired yet on normal Tele

Not really. A spoiler (noun) gives away key aspects of a plot, whereas spoiling (verb) by someone who's giving their opinion on the film/series/book/etc which may sway your view is very different.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2026 20:40

Was about to say the same as @purpleme12.

we haven’t seen someone spying. Someone yet

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2026 20:44

I would say Someone saying they’ve seen all and enjoyed it - or hated it / a tricky one

just their opinion they enjoyed it. Which means hopefully it’s good

soemone saying it’s bad may not like it but wouldn’t shop me watching it

like Amandaland Christmas. I loved it. It was perfect and so many little one liners an references

yet many hated it

The buckets for me every time. I could (and perhaps will) watch those couple of minutes over and over again. For ever. Mr Crook is a genius really.
