They must get so many applications. I wonder if the pairing of everyone was to find a way to make the process quicker by only auditioning people who applied in pairs 🤣🤣

I wish they weren’t in pairs or linked as have almost forgotten about the rest of the game but I’ll now be amazed if they’re not. The Maz and Faraaz lookalikes as dad and son in particular and Jessie and Jack being sister and brother.

I seem to be one of the few to like Sam and I also felt it was cruel leaving him on his own to sit and reflect on no one picking him.

LarkspurLane · 08/01/2026 15:11

And the cages were awful. Were they really left sitting in there for hours, or were they immediately released and put back again for the murder? What if someone physically could not do that?

TheGreenBow · 08/01/2026 15:12

I doubt they were left there for that long. Can’t see it being acceptable health and safety wise/or for mental health!

LittleBitofBread · 08/01/2026 15:13

samarrange · 08/01/2026 14:53

I wonder if we're going to see them all finding out who's the ST at the same time at some point?

I can't see that happening unless Claudia tells them when Fiona finally gets banished. Don't forget that Rachel and Stephen are the only people left who even knew that there was a secret traitor. As far as everyone else is concerned it doesn't matter.

At breakfast yesterday one or two people thought that the traitors must have recruited a replacement for Hugo because there was no murder. And to some extent they sort of did, because Fiona is now a "vanilla" traitor.

I suppose Claudia could tell them tomorrow "Actually, one of the traitors was secret for a while but they're not now, but I think that might just cause confusion. (Which, of course, need not be a bad thing!)

In future series, "Is there a secret traitor" will of course be part of everyone's speculation!

I can't see that happening unless Claudia tells them when Fiona finally gets banished.
Yes, that's kind of what I was imagining. If she does get banished and doesn't end up winning!

Pinkbox · 08/01/2026 15:15

Am I dreaming or did Amanda put her arm round Reece and guide him into the billiards room? Or was that one of the other interchangeable boys?

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 08/01/2026 15:15

pouletvous · 08/01/2026 15:03

Amanda is definitely a northerner (can anyone place her accent?) even though she lives in Brighton. Maybe she’s originally from Sheffielf

rachel and one of the men are both from NI

i really hope there aren’t multiple secret relatives

hugo and the other chap who was evicted last week didn’t reveal anything

Sheffield was at the back of my mind too.

CrossPurposes · 08/01/2026 15:15

TheGreenBow · 08/01/2026 15:12

And Sam was already shivering so it seems unlikely. It was a mean mission nonetheless.

OtherS · 08/01/2026 15:16

Is that it for the whole secret traitor thing? Bit of an anti-climax! Hopefully they'll do something else with it.

I also don't get much from the secret relationship thing, I think I'd rather everyone were strangers and playing the same game as individuals. Also not keen on any of the traitors, though Rachel's probably my favourite of the three. Stephen's useless, and Fiona's bloody irritating. Love Amanda, still don't know the names of most of the others yet. Maz seems lovely, and feel bad for Sam so hope he's not murdered or banished. Could easily believe Sam was Fiona's son, and so it didn't matter that she didn't save him as she wouldn't murder him. But then he'd presumably wonder whether she was a traitor.

TheGreenBow · 08/01/2026 15:17

Pinkbox · 08/01/2026 15:15

I think she held his hand. They’re likely mum and son imo and others have said the same
but who knows. Production seem to want us to guess as there’s a fair few clues aren’t there. Wish they’d just all say now and then we can get on with the game 🤣

EachandEveryone · 08/01/2026 15:17

She’s part of the lesbian community on Brighton of course she would move there years ago. She has a great pension why wouldn’t she want to be where her community is? It doesn’t matter where she is initially from. I do think people overthink things

notnow29 · 08/01/2026 15:18

Would you mind not putting up thread titles that are major spoilers if you are watching a week behind. Thanks!

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 08/01/2026 15:19

There is no secret traitor anymore. She’s just a normal traitor now. That twist has played out and is over.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 08/01/2026 15:20

TellingBone · 08/01/2026 14:04

Just reflecting, Ross didn't do himself any favours by his poor explanation of what happened with Netty. People were suspicious because he'd said he hadn't planned to acknowledge her, making everyone think there was a plan in place.

But when tasked with it at round table he simply repeated the same phrase without explaining himself very well. He hadn't planned. What [we now know] he meant was that immediately on spotting Netty he decided not to acknowledge he knew her. The massive twit.

What gets me is that all of that happened before Claudia chose the traitors, so why did everyone use it as a reason to accuse him of being one?

CrossPurposes · 08/01/2026 15:22

Today's New York Times' Strands puzzle may be of interest to people here.

Utterly baffling.

ChinFluff46 · 08/01/2026 15:23

I think Fiona's name might come up at the next RT as she did nothing in the task, maybe from one or two people.

She might also have to be defensive of Reece or will not look like a team player.

It’s hardly a spoiler and has even been on the front page of the BBC News website so if you’re trying to avoid any hints you should probably avoid being online completely

The thread title doesn't name anybody, and we all knew the secret traitor would be revealed at some point. Once the programme has been broadcast on BBC1 (and available on iPlayer) then discussions about what's already happened can hardly be described as spoilers.

drivinmecrazy · 08/01/2026 15:31

I think It’s terribly suspicious why there are so many who have a background in law.

even Maz was an ex copper.
this group doesn’t seem as diverse as previous seasons

JaneJeffer · 08/01/2026 15:33

One mystery I don’t understand is why the hell some of them went out in the freezing, rainy weather without putting a coat on!

ChinFluff46 · 08/01/2026 15:38

Harriets Instagram is hilarious.

samarrange · 08/01/2026 15:39

ChinFluff46 · 08/01/2026 15:05

Not sure if it's been mentioned - a reason Reece kept quiet was him and Amanda had that chat about not mentioning Stephen was a traitor. They maybe need more conviction from the rest of the group before they take him down.

Not sure what more evidence they need 🤣

I would like to see skin in the game for the round tables. Say, £10,000 to the prize fund if they get a traitor but minus £2,000 if they vote out a faithful. Those amounts could be variable, announced a day or two ahead of time, so that in cases like this Reece and Amanda could try to time their attack.

I know this has been discussed a million times before but it doesn't matter if they get a traitor, a new one will be picked straight away. So better to vote off people you don't like or people who might vote for you.
Adding money might focus them a bit more.

I said something about this in the previous thread.
Add Ellie being a psychologist and so they are all basically working.

I think this makes it more forced and less fun!
