This thread was requested on my previous thread ("How to watch The Pitt") so here goes.
What did you think? Favourite character? Better than ER?

I really enjoy The Pitt. Im always surprised when I see Noah as Dr Robbie, he looks so different to his ER days and The Librarian. I know he is older but he looks like a different person.
I thought the charge nurse actor is starting to over act a bit especially when she was with the rape victim.
Love Dr Landon and Mel is lovely too.
It's a good almost documentary programme.
I started watching Greys Anatomy and would really love to slap all the self centered interns. Such a different show compared to The Pitt.
The Good Doctor started out good but then went down hill. I hope The Pitt carries on being good.

Oh God - the leg 😱 I thought it was a baby in a body bag when they got off the helicopter.

Needmorelego · 13/03/2026 16:58

@spiderlight I loved the doc from surgery who came down to see if the leg could be re attached. The way he was checking it over "yep...can do that".
Nickname "Shark" (rhyming with his name - Dr Park I think he was) but do you think the reason for his nickname and the fact he became a surgeon that re-attaches limbs is because a shark ate one of his.
🦈🤔

I was disappointed no one said "mind the blades" when meeting the helicopter.....😁
("Careful by the blades....a doc in Chicago apparently lost an arm by not paying attention")

I was surprised at how vicious Robbie was when Dr Mohan had her panic attack. Seemed a bit much and not really deserved.

Do you think Mel's reaction to finding out her sister has a boyfriend/is having sex is partly because she's still a virgin/hasn't had a boyfriend herself?

Needmorelego · 13/03/2026 18:14

@spiderlight yes I was really shocked as how Robbie was with Mohan's panic attack.
He was absolutely horrible.
Considering in Season 1 he had his own panic attack and is currently having some kind of mid life crisis 🏍️ you'd think he would have been nicer.
Poor Mel. She's not having a good day.

I believe quite a few of the characters are very close to breaking point.

Robbie -quite obvious
Dr Mohan - work stress and personal stress
Dana - seems a bit worn down by the system and I wonder if there's more to her being the SA nurse
Victoria - pressure put on her by herself and especially by her mom
King - her deposition did not go well and she might feel that she's losing touch with her sister

Another though based on Becca's revelation that she's having "lots and lots of sex": Are we sure it's UTI and not, say, an ecctopic pregnancy? The hospital's systems are down and lab results probably a lot slower than they usually would be. She's only been at the hospital for a little more than an hour, so if they took a pregnancy test results might not be back. Did they even do a pregnancy test on her?

spiderlight · 13/03/2026 22:30

Ooh, good point about possible pregnancy! She did have UTI symptoms but she might be pregnant as well...

In ER Dr. Romano who was over Dr.Robbie (aka Noah ) who lost his arm by a helicopter rotor blade and it was devastating as he was a surgeon .

Mel sister is in a residential home I think . She could be worried about lack of consent or a staff member having an inappropriate relationship.

Imagine looking over and seeing your leg ! And nobody looking at the baby in this episode. DeSanto and Dr Robbie are still holding a grudge with Langdon - wonder why the others are so forgiving.

And will Zack from the water park be dead ?

waltercrimble · 14/03/2026 06:40

Did Romano not die by helicopter in the end?

Anyway, up to date and just loving this show. I hope it continues. The leg scenes were brilliant.

He did when the helicopter crashed on him, IIRC right outside the ER

I just saw on Facebook a sketch from last nights Saturday Night Live that's a spoof of The Pitt.
Sorry I'm not sure how to do a link but if you can find it - watch it !!
It was hilarious.

It was hilarious.

I found it on SNL's YouTube — I didn't watch this week as I don't care for harry styles, but that was a very funny sketch!

Needmorelego · 20/03/2026 06:37

Hour 11.
That means only 4 more to go 😭
Another busy episode.
Jesse....they took Jesse 😭😭
Emma...nooooooo.
Mel shouted. Mel said a swear word. I get the impression that's the first time in the 10 months she's been working there that she's done that.
More Dr Al mystery. Something about losing a child ??🤔
Is Oglivie about to have an epiphany and be a good doctor or is he going to run screaming from the hospital never to be seen again.
Santos is annoying me with her mood. But did she have a point about Langdon?
I can't believe I have to wait a whole week now for the next episode.

Really good episode!

spiderlight · 21/03/2026 13:58

That was a good one. I'm glad Roxy is out of pain at last, bless her. Her poor husband and sons though.

The impact of ICE was powerfully conveyed. They were terrifying, especially the masked one. God, it's so inhuman.

Needmorelego · 21/03/2026 15:06

@spiderlight do you read any of the Facebook fan groups?
There's a whole load of American viewers who are saying this episode went "too far" and will "never watch again".
Their loss !

I absolutely adore this series!

Nofeckingway · 21/03/2026 15:27

Very impressed that the show blatantly showed their disgust with Trump and ICE agents . Surprised they weren't censored . Loved that they pointed out that patients but also staff are affected by this . Many people have lived and worked their first years , payed taxes , created families but are still technically undocumented illegals .

spiderlight · 21/03/2026 16:57

I'm not on any of the US fan groups - just as well for the sake of my blood pressure!!

spiderlight · 21/03/2026 16:57

I hope the student nurse is ok! What's going on with that suddenly aggressive guy?
