Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

First live show is usually the week after the launch show

First proper dancing show is the 27th. I applied for tickets for all shows. No word yet.

Well, seeing as this thread is on page 40 and about to expire, I am going to make the following observations.
An "insider" on the thread earlier really sold the Jamie being harassed by Wynne storyline, even going so far as it could be claimed as sexual harassment (being referred to as "old spitroast boy", being sent a sex toy). That BBC person has not been seen since, same as all of Jamie's fans on other sites have all quietened down.
Given that part of the recent allegations involve sharing intimate images without consent, and given the blokey/bantz vibe of background shenanigans on tour, I think it is clear now why Wynne burnt all his bridges (note "Look over there!" "But what about...?" is not a defence).
It is interesting though what the producers would overlook until their hand was forced and who they considered expendable/disposable, again, until their hand was forced.
If they were going to axe Jamie for saying the m- word, he'd never have been back on set. The insider's defence of him was curious timing. (I even took down a comment, despite there being a source backing it).
As to the drugs issue, that appears to have been swept over for the time being, presumably unless /until hands are forced. So production will cover for coke heads (GDPR/wellbeing) and cover for bigger names (GDPR/flagship show) but lesser heads roll. It's all in need of a damned good clean-up.

@SequinsandSoleros should I start a new chat thread? We are on the bones of this one but we’ve also got the spoiler thread on the go for Wednesday or thereabouts. Not everyone will want the spoiler thread and we’ve still got 20 days til kickoff!
