Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

I’ve heard Dani Dyer, Stacey Solomon, Ashley Cain and Tom Parker Bowles

If she got £10K a week for playing Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate, do we think she'd ever consider doing it for a laugh? Jerry Hall did it for a couple of weeks and I'd say she was a big name.

I expect she would, whilst DWTS has boasted some big names those celebs weren’t as famous when they participated as they now are eg Zendaya and Kim Kardashian. Like ours it can be very Z List now like WHOOO?

Americans would view SCD as being akin to being asked to do DWTS I think.

On the subject of KC - she has the most batshit celebrity story I can think of which involved her tampering with a gravestone….

That's a weird one OP. Have posted link above for others to read once I had looked it up. Thanks for that. Sounds like she chose to put her dad's ashes with his parents, sees her cousin as Cox not Cattrall and not the same family (?) and has put first dibs on being near her dad and grandparents rather than Canada. The Liverpool Cleopatra made me laugh though.

I would like to see Owain Wyn Evans. He was amazing in the charity drumming ( BBC CiN) and appeared to strike up a friendship with Diane on the Wim Hoff tv show ( Freeze the Fear). Perhaps they could be a pair.

I’d like to see Liz Hurley, I think she’d be great fun. It’s a shame they can’t get proper celebs anymore.

Proper slebs = proper cash and they don't have it. All the main household names have done it or don't want to. Given the enormous pressure intrusion and physical toll, I don't blame them.
But you are left with up-and-coming, on their way down, something to promote, influencers and those being arm-wrestled. I don't think they have many left in the latter section.
Still, I always think of Hamza. Adored and unknown to me.
Liz would be an amazing signing.

I often suspect the reason Richard Madeley hasn’t done it is because he pushed for his daughter as well and got turned down. Could be wrong. He raved about Strictly at one time and then simply dropped it.
