Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

I’ve heard Dani Dyer, Stacey Solomon, Ashley Cain and Tom Parker Bowles

Agree, actual celebrities and Max would have a few moves.

I would add Nadiya and Carlos to your list too.
The standard of some of the pros isn't that high compared to when you watch other DWS shows which is why they have to bring in new pro's to improve the quality.
I really hope Lauren and Kai have partners this year, Lauren was very good on the live show too and Kai was fine with the gladiator lady - can't remember her name!

We speculated on last years threads that their apparent inability to secure female celebrities was down to the ongoing rumblings of AA vs GP. I definitely hope there’s a better male/female balance this year.

Yeah,that has long sailed since Joe Sugg appeared in 2018. I don't mind him so much, but others have been forgettable.

I quite liked Tasha who danced with Alijaz i think she came from Love island. Although i nearly called her Zara who is a different woman and was on the previous they alll kind of merge the influencers as the same person😀

Maureen Lipman would be fun, but she's already had quite a long break from Corrie.

I think they’d consider getting someone like Molly Mae Hague in as a huge win in terms of appealing to a demographic

Maureen was in panto in Richmond (upon Thames) last December, her stamina was astounding! Yes she would be good on Strictly.
Ironically this year in Richmond we have Helen George in the main role who was in strictly 10 years ago, I remember lots of tears!

Have you seen her in that Shark reality show? I caught a glimpse of it at the weekend, I think I’d find her hard work to be around!

Oh no !i have seen it advertised it looks screamy, i couldn't cope with the shrieking.

Is it not time to end the show? No more flogging the concept to death, so to speak.

Whilst it still gets high ratings, which it does, it will stay. And no, as a fan of the show from the very beginning I don’t think it’s time for it to end.

I’m looking forward to it. I usually end up really liking people I’d never heard of (Pete and Montell last year, Rose, Fay, Chris Ramsay).

I would like Dawn O'Porter and Portia de Rossi on. First one can do a Fringe Off with Claud, latter can fill the same sex partnership slot.
Sadly, doubt whether either will, because it is shite money comparatively and both would be under scrutiny. Plus Dawn has kids and Portia has horses. Shame though.

Ellen Degeneres doesn’t strike me as someone who would be delighted to watch her wife dance with (presumably) another woman. She was exposed as a quite nasty character some years ago. I also think they both would consider Portia’s level of celebrity above that of SCD, regardless of whether that is true.

I’ve been thinking Princess Andre might be a possibility - if Tilly Ramsey can do it with a very mild claim to celebrity then why not?

I love Arrested Development so would love Portia de Rossi to do it but think she falls into the category of far too rich to have to.

We have had Barry Zuckercorn/The Fonz in the VIP audience a handful of times but I think he is too busy doing panto. I would vote for him like crazy.

I agree about Ellen and portia they probably think it is beneath them, and Ellen.degenerious is insufferable .

I'd love Kim Cattrall, but of course she is too big to do it.

Ooh, I'd adore Kim to do it but suspect she'd see it as beneath her - I am sure A Listers don't get much for stage work though? Her costar in SATC the one who played Smith was a First Boot on DWTS.
Kim could dance to : Going down to Liverpool (her city of birth) She's a lady, Sexbomb, Hot in the city.
