For me it’s the German Series Dark on Netflix and the American series 1883 which is Paramount + but has now turned up on Netflix.

Dark which was about time travel really made you think and 1883 about Pioneer life/Cowboys was just quietly beautiful

Silo, Bad Sisters, Ozark, Slow Horses, Schitt’s Creek.

I loved Silo, but I made the mistake of reading the books after the first season which are fantastic, but differ somewhat from the TV series which irritated me a bit when watching the second season, still enjoyed it though.

Yellowstone, 1883 and virgin river.

Haven't got round to watching 1923 yet

Don’t. Save yourself the absolute rage inducing fit. The first series promises much and the second is dreadful

Call My Agent! (Dix pour cent) is a French series that I loved.

Fantastic baddies in each episode. And Idris Elba of course

YEARS and YEARS. Really resonated with me, Got quite sad though.

Sky/Now TV

cheesecakewrestler · 10/05/2025 22:25

Black Bird starring Taron Egerton. True story about cell mating a drug dealer with a serial killer to get information.

House of Dragons which is the prequel to Game of Thrones

TubeScreamer · 10/05/2025 22:25

So hard to pick one

the one I’ve watched over and over again is Derry Girls.

This is us and Schitt’s Creek were the ones I most enjoyed bingeing.
Bridgerton a worthy runner up.

Nevermind91 · 10/05/2025 22:26

Most of these are not in the last five years! I liked Fallout on Amazon, Severance and Silo.

Why Women Kill series 1 & 2. Free on U channel (yeah I don't know either, it's just one of many channels we seem to have)
Series 1 stars Lucy Liu, Jack Davenport & Ginnifer Goodwin, amongst others. One house, 3x different couples living there in 3x different eras. Funny, sad, poignant, delightfully different - highly recommended! Series 2 stars Nick Frost & Allison Tolman - a little power is a dangerous thing & be careful what you wish for - one womens aspirations have disastrous consequences.

EmmaOvary · 10/05/2025 22:29

Happy Valley, Slow Horses, Colin From Accounts
