The third series may be over but we still have a lot to say.

We tried to watch the S1 Oz one but didn't like it as much as the UK one. However we quite enjoyed the odd USA ones and watching the current series now which is great. I like the fact that many already know each other (or are enemies) before they even go in 😆. I think we may start the NZ latest series shortly too and see how we go.

Nooo continue watching the Oz ones - it gets so good.

I think Season 1 Oz has some of the best contestants ever and Season 2 has the funniest contestants.

We will revisit. I watch with my son as he found the Australians weird but I reckon I can convince him 🤣

My personal preferences are -

1: UK versions (series 2 best, then 1, then 3)

2: New Zealand (only seen the first series)

4: Australian (series 1 I enjoyed much of, but was upset by the ending; series 2 a whole wacky world of its own! Annabel and Luke were phenomenal faithfuls though) I didn't feel the Oz offerings had great atmosphere.

5: I attempted the American ones, and I'm afraid they're just not my style.

Not seen any others. Apparently Canada is out, but not on iPlayer yet. Looking so forward to the Irish one. That'll be the most culturally similar to the British one. I'm Northern Irish born, so it'll be very close to home. Can't wait!

modernshmodern · 03/02/2025 06:17

I agree re the British ones this is the weakest one so far. If they hadn't jazzed up the end with the 'seer' and the no reveal rule it would have been a total disaster.

XelaM · 03/02/2025 09:15

My favourites are:

  1. Australia Season 2 (for the sheer absurdity of the whole thing 😆).
  2. US Season 1 (loved the ending and the very clever way it was played).
  3. Australia Season 1 (best cast ever I think - Nigel what a legend!) It has thee most devious and brutal traitor(s).
  4. UK Season 2 (very cleverly played and I liked the dramatic ending).
  5. US Season 3 (am enjoying it so far but time will tell. Hopefully Rob will stay on longer otherwise it will turn boring).
  6. UK Season 3 and US Season 2 were both awful (except Meena) and absolutely HATED the outcome of both.
  7. Haven't seen NZ and can't remember UK Season 1.

All in all, I prefer the Australian over the UK Traitors. Roger is a great host and it doesn't feel as staged. The tasks are also better. There is also a lot more drama and backstabbing.

Have just rewatched Australia S2 absolutely brilliant. Very well played at the end.

Hah it's the insufferable Sam then 🙈 I'm only at the start if it, but he is actually mental 😂

Argh! I want to slap his face so hard! He and his gun fingers can FRO!

xsquared · 06/02/2025 23:25

Oh and the faithfuls are thick as mince! They deserved to be called Dumb arse and Dummies several times.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 07/02/2025 05:54

Agree Sam is insufferable. Calling himself ‘the sheriff’. He’s so unlikeable.

For anyone interested, Frankie is interviewed on Gaby Logan's midpoint podcast this week. It gives a bit more insight into the filming process and referring back to previous threads, it turns out she got married just before filming and her husband and her parents looked after her 4 sons. (The adults knew where she was).

There’s going to be an Irish traitors, with Siobhán McSweeney hosting. I will be watching just for that.

Omg YES! She is very underrated and I’m thrilled about this

Who's watching US season 3? It is brutal and I am loving it

I am. Disliking the one a week though, I've forgotten what's happened after that long!

dapsnotplimsolls · 21/02/2025 07:45

Damn you, you made me start it! How many episodes will there be?

I think 12? I’ve watched 7 and there are 9 on the iPlayer but then I also have to wait for one a week
