Hang up your cloak, and pull up a chair at thr Roubd Table.

I think the Shield play might be Hazza's undoing. He was on a few people's radar yesterday and he's certainly made a few cock ups "You'll be fine TRUST ME" etc. If he appears at breakfast with a story about being recruited and NO LETTER, he is going to put himself in the spotlight which is all that Jaz needs to start building on the mistrust.

Plus his fellow traitors are not his allies. Andrew is shitting himself and would love to be rid of Harry who is trying to control him and Ross is out to avenge Diane.

I'll be sad because he has played brilliantly and engaged strategically which is much more entertaining to watch - but I think he's a gonner.

I think we will have a boring Ross/Jasmine/Andrew final with either Jaz or Zach. The latter are too smart and one of them will be murdered tonight I reckon.

SteamingTangerine · 20/01/2024 11:58

It's driving me mad how the contestants keep using the word 'yourself' when at the round table. It seems to be catching and they've all started doing it now, 'I'm voting for yourself', 'I have suspicions about yourself' etc, argh just say you!! I suspect they think it makes them sound intelligent but actually the opposite is true.

WingBingo · 20/01/2024 12:02

I said that about “yourself “ whilst watching last night too. Argh!

I also think Andrew will bumble his way to winning.

he seems like a really nice guy to me.

@EddieHowesShithousingMags I think we’re also forgetting this is a game show. If the producers were interfering as much as the previous poster suggested, that’d influence who won and wouldn’t give everyone an equal opportunity to win the prize pot. Wouldn’t be allowed you’d think.

100%

IGotItFromAgnes · 20/01/2024 12:03

I also hate the increased use of “yourself”. It just reminds me of smarmy salespeople and The Apprentice.

florentina1 · 20/01/2024 12:04

Will harry have to produce the Shield at breakfast to prove he has it?

Edited

His plan is to let others draw the conclusion that the traitors tried and failed to murder him because he had a secret shield rather than say he was an attempted recruit.

I agree that the producers are not guiding the narrative. They’ve just edited it to show the relevant parts to fit the conclusion.

The crew do step in at times for small things, eg I think Charlie said on Uncloaked that the night of the poisoning task they actually ran out of drink so the crew had to restock the bar. Probably because the Traitors had wasted so much time trying to find the bloody chalice!

Checking in, I'm 100% faithful and relieved to be alive.

@AfraidToRun if any traitor is left at the end, they take all the cash.

I think Jasmine will be banished or possibly Jaz. It'll be interesting to see how Harry's story plays out. It's really a numbers game now. There are 3 traitors and 5 faithful so if they banish a faithful next episode and murder someone, it's even numbers, which basically means the traitors have all the power. That would be the best thing they could do to win.

But if Ross decides to target Harry, he may be able to get the support from Jaz, Evie, Zach and maybe Andrew. The clip with Harry saying "this game is just mad", makes me think he will at least be feeling the heat next week.

I'd like Jaz, Zach and Evie to make it to the end but can't see Mollie getting murdered so assume at least one if not two will go.

Twitter is very funny today.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 20/01/2024 12:42

Thanks for the thread

ThePoshUns · 20/01/2024 12:45

Love the title. It is very male this season.

periodiclabel · 20/01/2024 12:50

I don’t think Mollie is dumb at all, just because she’s young and blonde, she’s being underestimated. (I used to know I was once young and I’m still blonde). She says some astute things (didn’t she mention Harry might be a contender?) and is speaking up plenty of the roundtable now – we don’t know she wasn’t speaking up before, and they just edited it, because it was irrelevant, but on, personally rooting for jazz, Evie and Harry. Interesting that the remaining players are - except Andrew - still young, which was the case in season Older people are automatically as seen as suspect, hence Aubrey and Sonja going first. Ageism, as well as in my view, racism and sexism all very much at play here

Riverlee · 20/01/2024 12:57

I don’t necessarily agree with the ageism comments. Aubrey and Sonja were big characters so eliminated first. They brought attention to themselves.

periodiclabel · 20/01/2024 12:59

Yes, but I think older people are more confident and more likely to be big characters

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/01/2024 13:00

Thanks CaveMum

BringOnFebBankHoliday · 20/01/2024 13:07

Thanks for the new thread @CaveMum 👏

I disagree about a commenting on the other series being a spoiler, they were on a year ago so I don't see anything as a spoiler - even if I haven't seen them. Funny comment by Richard Osman on his podcast that someone wrote in to complain he gave a spoiler about Great Expectations on Pointless. When is a spoiler not a spoiler?? If it's been on TV, I think it's fair game to comment. This is a no spoiler thread for anyone who might see an episode of this T2 UK earlier than BBC broadcast.

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 20/01/2024 13:16

Checking in. I have only just discovered The Traitors in the last few weeks. Binge watched series' 1 & 2.

I was quite glad Diana went, even though she was quite spot on with her thoughts she was very irritating.

Have no idea who I want to win.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/01/2024 13:17

@BringOnFebBankHoliday

I got bitched at for spoiling the end of Great Expectations in a uni tutorial about Great Expectations by someone who hadn't finished it!

user1484056932 · 20/01/2024 13:20

It maybe the edit but Ross only asking why they murdered Diane must raise suspicions to Harry, as Ross hasn't asked Harry why they murdered Kyra etc as well. It will probably be Harry downfall recruiting Ross, shame as he's played a v.good game as a traitor.

strongly suspect this was an edit. Even the inflections made it sound like she was part of a 'list'

CaveMum · 20/01/2024 13:26

@user1484056932 i did think the same, but I wonder if he actually asked about a couple of others first to avoid suspicion but they edited it out. No way of knowing!

I wonder if they could do a “Live” Traitors as it were, so broadcast the following day. I guess with the Round Tables and murders going on late into the night the editing team would have a real rush to get it done in time. Maybe they could do it on a 48 hour delay so that they can’t manipulate the edit too much, and we’d get a better feel for relationships in the group.
