The challenges have been good this season - I used to skip over them last series

Jaz might survive - Andrew said to Harry that Jaz has mentioned him. Harry slightly raised his eyebrow at that. He Wants to keep those who suspect Andrew.

I don't want Zach to go either. I like him.

Excellent point.

Jaz's best game is to persuade people in the final

Violahastings · 24/01/2024 23:25

Just caught up!

So annoying that recently recruited traitors can’t say they’ve been recruited. Although surely they will figure out Ross wouldn’t have killed Diane?

ive seen speculation on Twitter that the editing of over-confident assured Harry could be setting up for his downfall

Rainingharder · 24/01/2024 23:26

I think Mollie is murdered tonight - Harry thinks that because everyone knows they’re close and he would never murder her…he’ll play the gutted faithful whose lost his bestie.
Zak - won’t kill as he’ll help him banish Jasmine & Andrew
Jaz - leads back to him as he’s voiced suspicion about him before. Plus he now knows Jaz suspects Andrew so will want to weaponise that.

Can I just say as well with all the Jaz
love, he had at least 3/4 banishments where he was wildly barking up the wrong tree, so I don’t think he is as much the genius as everyone thinks. I also think he’s leaving it too late to voice the Harry stuff and needs to work harder at planting seeds. No one listens to him and he needs to remind them all about the calls he got right.

Evie is totally playing the game, staying out of it but keeping a level head, aligning herself with the more vocal players. I think she knows exactly what she’s doing to get herself to the final and cinch it. For people saying she’s quiet & doesn’t contribute much - I think that’s the only way as a faithful to play it to get to the final. Keep yourself neutral.

BUT - I kinda hope Harry wins as he’s played a blinder and really put the effort in and deserves it. He’s so good at being a traitor, plays it so well.

@crabbyoldbat Agree with all you say except:
Thursday - one banishment, probably Jasmine. One murder Jaz-or-Zack (last chance to get rid of a thorn) - unless someone else starts finger pointing and is seen as an immediate danger..

There's no murder tomorrow, only a banishment, and 5 players go into the final. Claudia's said it a couple of times I think.

D'oh. I knew this, really I did, no truly

Weird to think I was rooting for Harry when he was ousting Paul. But I'd far rather Paul than Harry now!

Me too!

Hopefully Jaz will work out that Ross was a recent recruit & wouldn't have murdered his own mum & will turn back to being suspicious about Harry!

IGotItFromAgnes · 24/01/2024 23:34

Anyone else have high hopes that Zack and Jas would work out theories when they were paired up in the mission?

commonground · 24/01/2024 23:37

Problem is, he isn’t as smart as he thinks he is.
**
Absolutely! I was loling in the task when he took the money with him into the booby trap. What an idiot. And then was soooo pissed off when Jasmine pointed it out. I loved her smirk when he revealed his true colours there. She sees him..... He is on a short fuse that guy.

So, going back to one of my (wildly inconsistant) predictions
Wednesday night - Jaz or Zack murdered
Thursday - one banishment, probably Jasmine. One murder Jaz-or-Zack (last chance to get rid of a thorn) - unless someone else starts finger pointing and is seen as an immediate danger..
Final - Andrew, Harry, Mollie, Evie

The Thursday marder becomes the Friday first banishment , I suppose

I think he likes her but she's so clearly not interested that he's pissed off and therefore targeting her instead.

Given Jaz's sucking up, and Andrew mentioning he thinks Jaz is coming for him, I think Jack is tonight's murder, and Harry might be thinking of taking him to the final. Bad move, Harry.

New thread folks!

Yeah I’m not sure Ross had thought through how fast-paced that whole situation was going to be. He had about a 1 second window to say he knew before they were going to turn it on him, Andrew said he knew and you could see the realisation on Ross’ face when the whole thing had just turned on him

Thing is though, Ross had all day to work out what to say at the round table, and he should have let someone bring up the shield issue first, before he spoke to defend himself.

He should have said that there were two scenarios. Either Harry was a Faithful and the murder failed because the Traitors didn't know he had the shield, or Harry was a Traitor all along and couldn't be murdered.

Whichever way it was, by saying he didn't know about the shield, he was implicating himself, which a Traitor wouldn't do, they would lie and say they did know. So that proved that he couldn't be a Traitor.

Just watched. That was great Grin

Err, no!

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 06:54

Such a frustrating episode. I so wanted Ross to get revenge but he played a terrible game. And there was no point to Diana Ross at all!

Harry deserves to win now. Mollie better not. She is so wet and thick at the same time.

SecondUsername4me · 25/01/2024 07:03

Ross made a foolish move turning on Andrew so quickly. He hoped that Harry would back him, but he would have been better just skipping that whole "Andrew said this...." and focusing on getting Jasmine banished.

happinessischocolate · 25/01/2024 07:22

As soon as Ross realised after breakfast that they had turned on him he could have let it slip that Diane was his mum, let that rumour go round and then at the round table, say that he couldn't be a traitor as he wouldn't have murdered his own mother.

Up it till then it would be suicide to mention the deception but when it's clear your going to be banished next, why not 🤷‍♀️

Harry really did have it sown up though, I'm not sure even he realised he'd managed to implicate Ross. Zack did all his work for him, he didn't even need to point any fingers.

happinessischocolate · 25/01/2024 07:24

Unless he's somehow managed to win, Zack is going to feel so stupid watching this back. He thinks he's a genius, but Harry fed him the whole script.

Ruminate2much · 25/01/2024 07:29

I'm telling myself there has to be a parallel universe somewhere where Ross does indeed avenge Diane, and it played out the way many of us hoped. That's the only way I can make what happened last night (in this universe!) bearable!

aSofaNearYou · 25/01/2024 07:34

I think Andrew was really foolish to turn on Ross.

The elephant in the room that none of the traitors are addressing with each other is that there has to be a traitor out after the final murder or the faithfuls will just never be fooled into thinking they're all out and it's safe to end the game. But they all know that - so Andrew's best chance of winning was to keep Ross in until that point. Now he's gone, one of him or Harry HAS to get banished in the final because the faithfuls will know there is at least one left. That seemed so obvious, Harry is obviously happy to sacrifice Andrew but at least Andrew should have been doing everything in his power to keep Ross in last night.

Tbh though I think both Ross and Andrew should have turned down being a traitor. It's obviously a poisoned chalice at this point in the game and the real traitor just wants to use them as a scapegoat. They're operating under the assumption that if they say no, they'll be murdered, but I don't think that's a given at all. The traitors will have different people they think it would be beneficial to murder vs recruit and they'll stick with that regardless of whether somebody said no.
