As Big Brother is set to return, what are your stand-out memories?

The 'civilian' version was my favourite telly show ever, especially the early series before the invasion of the wannabes. Not so keen on the celeb versions; those people are always 'on'. Loved the first season when it was all raw. Sada doing her goddess chant every bedtime. The chickens. Nichola naked body painting the wall. Nasty Nick's downfall.

My favourite contestant was Science in BB6, and he was in my favourite task - the box task. 'Shut up' 'No you shut up'.

Top evictions:
Maxwell being evicted when he totally thought it would be Science.
Big-head Sezer visibly shocked that he was evicted.
Grace getting the boot and chucking water over Susie she was so mad.
Kathreya [Happy House!] getting chucked out in her dressing gown to no crowd.

Remember when the tree would talk to them and get them to do secret tasks?! Loved that!

The night my friend phoned me screaming down the phone that the guy who'd been semi stalking me for months was entering the BB house.
I didn't watch it and had no idea what she was talking about until I changed channel and dry boaked.

It was in Bromley or somewhere then , but soon moved somewhere else

Celeb - Roxanne Pallet and Ryan Thomas - she was seriously deranged. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that. I loved Sally Morgan in that series too.

The first couple of series of the non-celeb ones were the best.

When Spencer was evicted over Alex in series 3.

The whole house expected that Alex would go, and you could see it was an 'oh shit' moment when the collective penny dropped that the outside world might not be seeing things the same way that the house did. Heh.

It's probably right, but it just comes back to me when I recall BB.

I don’t go anywhere near BB now but as a teen lapped it up

I would turn it on and watch them live, often with no audible dialogue or just fake birdsong over the top!

lots of memorable moments but the one that still pops into my head probably weekly is the song one young guy sang on his first ever cooking attempt -“I’m cooking an egg for the very first time, hmm hmm, hmm hmm” - or at least that’s how I’ve remembered it c.20 years later!

I remember the live stream overnight - just putting the channel on and the weird night vision of just people snoozing.

Those early ones were great. What was the one with the Scottish island?

Tim primping his hair for forty minutes, and shaving his chest to hide the fact that he was, indeed, ginger

Oh and season one where they basically just walked them round the back of a building site and let them in a random back door. Fast forward to the last season and it's massive studio audiences and some elaborate steep staircase (even though they then go down to ground floor when they get inside).
