As Big Brother is set to return, what are your stand-out memories?

The 'civilian' version was my favourite telly show ever, especially the early series before the invasion of the wannabes. Not so keen on the celeb versions; those people are always 'on'. Loved the first season when it was all raw. Sada doing her goddess chant every bedtime. The chickens. Nichola naked body painting the wall. Nasty Nick's downfall.

My favourite contestant was Science in BB6, and he was in my favourite task - the box task. 'Shut up' 'No you shut up'.

Top evictions:
Maxwell being evicted when he totally thought it would be Science.
Big-head Sezer visibly shocked that he was evicted.
Grace getting the boot and chucking water over Susie she was so mad.
Kathreya [Happy House!] getting chucked out in her dressing gown to no crowd.

Should have been a two hour show.

After that I'm not gonna gold my breath that itv can get it right . All the moments mentioned here , not one one of them made the cut except cats . Pfft .

Yes the presenters seem a bit casual. Like this Big Brother finally coming back and supposedly being like a proper reality show again.
I read the want it to cater for the old fans but also new ones and to be like an ITV 2 show.
The problem is ITV2 shows are shallow!!

*they I would rather it be on Channel 4. Never gonna happen of course.

Well here's hoping they've done some research on the various BB fan forums that have existed over the years - many still in existence including on here - to see what people like.

My top hopes:

No influencers or would-be influencers
No one who has been on other reality shows
A range of ages
Vote to evict rather than to save
Don't allow HMs to hear ANY audience cheers/boos

So many missed opportunities for great classic BB best bits tonight. Doesn’t give me much hope but will give it a go.

Recently watched the very first episode as I would have been too young to see it/ remember it (although I remember nasty nick and a few other bits of the first series)

Its so much different to what it became.

The first episode:

-Covered 4 days
-They all walked in together in a line with a suitcase with friends and family saying goodbye no crowd
-The VTs were short

• boys and girls separated in small bedrooms
• it was weird seeing smoking I the house!
• everything was so plain and the garden was taken up mostly by the chickens and the growing area

-they ran out of toilet paper because they didn't buy any. Big brother didn't give it to them and they were talking about using kitchen towel and the " asian method"

• £1.50 each per day for a shopping budget of just over £100 I wonder what that would be now

I don't know the quality but when I watched the first episode it was like an old VHS recording. If you search r/BBUK its the big brother UK reddit and there's a link to an archive link
