The episode where they went away for the weekend and Kevin was digging a pit to roast a hog.
Hilarious 😂

Hashtag shitstore

Wibbly1008 · 06/12/2022 18:21

The pilot when liz cuts her finger off 😂😂

RaRaRaspoutine · 06/12/2022 18:45

The halloween party one where Liz is totally oblivious to Lee Mead!

SingingSands · 06/12/2022 18:46

The weekend away.
"It's not my house"

Last episode of third series. I like when Ann finally snaps and calls Amanda a stupid big blonde cow...and Amanda's tiktok dance!

lugeforlife · 06/12/2022 20:35

The Christmas special
The last one with the bike ride
Sometimes the mother day one but have to be feeling quite chipper or it just makes me sad. Love Joanna L (hello babies)

hpphhp · 06/12/2022 20:41

The last episode of series 3 when Kevin tells Amanda their sex was good but not great and basically to get over herself. How the tide turned over the series with these two characters.

dayswithaY · 06/12/2022 20:44

The school fundraiser where Kevin is a human coat stand, Amanda is compère, Julia ends up with a weekend in Margate and Liz gets shitfaced.

I actually love Amanda, no one else does. You understand a lot after the Mother’s Day episode with Joanna Lumley. And I love her clothes.

Julia is actually quite horrible.

geraniumsandsunshine · 06/12/2022 20:46

All of them. What I would do for series 4.

queenofthewild · 06/12/2022 20:47

The swimming party. "It's not a drop off"

33goingon64 · 06/12/2022 20:47

The one I've just watched with the pool party. So accurate and so funny.

Takenoprisoner · 06/12/2022 20:49

The nit pandemic episode from series 3. I was curious whether they would refer to covid at all, and think they incorporated it in the most genius way.

'She has combed positive for nits' kills me

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 06/12/2022 20:50

No mum left behind - first episode of series 2 when we meet high-flying Meg and we want to hate her, but they go for a night on the town and she is super embarrassing, totally pissed, then is up early to fly to Frankfurt (or something like that). Brilliant. I want to be her friend!

countdowntonap · 06/12/2022 20:50

Hygge Tygge (higgy tiggy!)
The kid’s party with the animal man

GladysPew · 06/12/2022 20:50

The episode where they all go on a night out and Meg is absolutely smashed. Think it is the first episode with Meg in Motherland?

TheDouglasChater · 06/12/2022 20:51

The carpool one, where Anne is pissed and shoves Amanda Grin

Julia is at her absolute worst in this episode.

FeelWellEnoughToTellYou · 06/12/2022 20:52

Don't have a favourite episode, but my favourite scene (of any program ever) is at the birthday party and the daughter pukes on the window. Its so fucking funny.

WeWereInParis · 06/12/2022 20:53

I don't know if it's my favourite episode but I love the line in the swimming pool where Julia's mum asks her why she hasn't managed to find childcare yet and she replies

"I'm sorry mother, I've been a little busy looking after YOUR grandchildren"

Takenoprisoner · 06/12/2022 20:58

Love all the moments where Anne stands up to Amanda.

I read a thread on here about motherland yesterday and had to rewatch series 3. The mother's day one was fab especially Liz and Kevin's day out at the graveyard. There was such warmth there.

twinkleto · 06/12/2022 20:59

Series 1: The Calvary (Paul's parents)

Series 2: No mum left behind

Series 3: The Catholic Church one

They're all brilliant tbf

Squirrelgate · 06/12/2022 21:00

The weekend away!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/12/2022 21:02

Animal man and the cats!

I think the Gary the plumber episode / storyline had a lot of pathos in it. Not funny but rang true a bit.

Piffle11 · 06/12/2022 21:06

I like the school fundraiser episode when Amanda is trying to auction a kiss, and no one wants one… I think Liz ends up buying it for 50p and basically just snogs Amanda on stage and then wanders off, pissed.
