I agree about making them properly gothic and creepy rather than cheesy, especially FITA. Who would we cast as Cathy and Chris? 😂

I actually quite like Kiernan Shipka as Cathy, (other than the ballet scenes) and she was good in Chilling adventures of Sabrina too.

Although McKenna Grace would also look the part and is very talented. And younger I think so a better match age wise.

Yes he was dark haired in books. Horrible man (though I don't think VC intended him to come across that way?) and there was a rape if remember correctly.

I don't remember how he was portrayed in the TV versions. I'll have to have a rewatch I think.

The second actress they used for Cathy was worse than the first in terms of being miscast. Though I think the first actress was good as Sally in Mad Men but just didn't think she fit the role here, plus she didn't have the correct idolised tresses.

Dying to see the new one based on Garden of Shadows (the FITA prequel). That was the best. Old Garland and young Alicia, evil Malcolm, slutty Corrine. You feel sorry for Olivia until you remember what she did in FITA!

Well I’ve just watched episode 1 of FITA the origin and thought it was really good. Not bad good but good; far superior to the rest of the series which I now want them to remake in the same vein. Really felt well written, cast and acted and a sense of a much higher budget!

I wondered how you accessed the series? I can't seem to find it - other than poor quality rip offs on YouTube.

A pp suggested searching Flowers in the attic the origin putlocker. It came up with it on putlocker.sb and the quality is good.

I am on episode 2 now, I think it's really good, way better than the others. It's a shame as if the others had been made to be this quality they would be amazing.
