It's one reread I would like (a read along thread anyone?). Though I'd imagine the writing is even poorer than I remembered and all that 'Good golly-lolly, Christopher Doll' stuff might grow a bit wearing! Possibly fun though.

@automne i had the option to start a free trial on the app on the TV, I couldn’t see how to do it on the Amazon app on my phone. I can see how to cancel it on the phone though in the manage subscriptions bit. Annoyingly only three of the four are on the free trial, the third one is a pay to view.

I re-read them all one Christmas, and thinking back it was just before we moved here, so 2015. None of them were on Kindle then so I bought second hand copies and felt like I was 13, picking them up in charity shops.

I did it on my phone, just Google Paramount sign up.

I loved those books back in the day, omg though VA had a thing about incest. I remember seeing teh FITA film and being annoyed as they missed out all the incest, which was pretty much the main story line.

They didn't miss it out on the Lifetime movie!

And in that film they cut all of Cathy's hair off when the grandmother was starving them! I remember Christopher Doll, with his chemistry set, spending hours trying to get the tar out.

In the book they only cut a section at the front though we were spared Chris keeping and preserving the few cut strands for himself 😨
