Starting on the 26th October but will exclusively be on Disney+.

Greys anatomy season 19

I love Nick. I liked Derek but looking back I found him quite arrogant and selfish though I do have a soft spot for him. Nick is kinder. I’d chose a Nick over Derek any day.

I dislike Dr Adams immensely. Even though he’s Derek’s nephew.

It’s better than some of the episodes I’ve seen but I do think sadly Grey’s has run its course.

Justme10 · 28/10/2022 13:43

I just watched and I'm hopeful this will be a good season 🤞🏻

I liked the new interns and I don't think I have said that before, it definitely feels like old Greys Grin

I’m surprised by how many of you think it was like old Greys. It felt like a bad impression of old Greys to me! Maybe I’m being harsh and I’ll get into it after a few episodes.

I do find all the streaming stuff very confusing. And the apps are a mixed bag. A lot of them are so busy trying to highlight new shows that you have to search to find what you were watching already which always annoys me. I appreciate this is a first world problem.

Did Witness show the whole of season 18? I thought it was one of those bifurcated seasons where we only got half? Or did we get the second half as well and I just don't remember? entirely possible because I found for the first time ever I was watching Station 19 episodes before Greys episodes because Greys was just getting boring. Plus, there's only so many times a hospital can have a major catastrophe and/or lose key members of staff in unbelievable situations before I just couldn't maintain the suspension of disbelief.

@NotLactoseFree yes, Sky Witness showed the whole of Season 18 (I was watching it as it came out) but there was a big gap between half 1 and half 2, so maybe you missed it coming back on.

I believe it was all available on Sky/Now TV (season 18 that is) until a month or so ago, when it got added to Disney+.

To those who were surprised at it switching, Disney own the tv network that makes Greys, so it wasn't a surprise that they've moved it across - to me the surprise was that it didn't happen before this season given it's the flagship show of the network! It's always going to be a massive pull, so makes sense that they use it to encourage more people to take out Disney+ subscriptions.

After the last couple of series being mediocre. I thought this was a solid start! I like the new interns.

MissHavershamReturns · 31/10/2022 16:32

Ok now watched ep 1.

Liked the new interns and Mer was a convincing chief. Hunt and Teddy coming back was good as I personally like them.

Didn’t think the transplant storyline really worked and not so sure about some of the writing. Bit iffy at times.

The actress playing Jo seemed a bit hammy with all the forced laughing. Weird as I usually think she’s good.

Huge mistake in my view to keep Nick. No chemistry and no interest in him. Should have brought in a new surgeon for Mer.

MapleandAcorn · 31/10/2022 19:55

I know this isn’t the thread to discuss spoilers but if anyone wants to discuss spoilers, we could maybe set up a new thread or you could message me!

MrsFionaCharming · 02/11/2022 17:59

I much preferred todays episode.

burnoutbabe · 02/11/2022 18:08

Yes I enjoyed episode 2.

Maggie was crap to her husband, treating him like a junior. I suppose he is, she is his boss after all (I think)

Is this the first time helm acknowledged she is gay?

FairyLightAddict · 02/11/2022 18:47

Ohhhh is it on? I was waiting until Thursday.

burnoutbabe · 02/11/2022 18:50

Yes released every Wednesday

So avoid thread Wednesday onwards until you have watched :-)

NukaColaQuantum · 02/11/2022 22:12

Urgh, why are Owen and Teddy back?! I was so glad to see the back of them, they are so irritating.

I don’t even know why I’m still watching, it seems they can’t attract new, unknown actors and the scripts are on the same level as Twilight.

MissHavershamReturns · 03/11/2022 00:07

Today was better I thought

burnoutbabe · 03/11/2022 08:16

I realise link and Amelia barely spoke and had zero scenes together. You'd have not known they had a child together from this season.

Which probably means them getting back together may be dropped as a story.

pastabest · 03/11/2022 09:03

The Amelia story appears to be that all the 'interns' (are they actually interns?) believe she is having a relationship with her nephew, who no one knows is her nephew. Much hilarity presumably ensues...

I don't mind Nick. Wish he would button his shirt up though.

I assume Helm will come back.

FairyLightAddict · 03/11/2022 12:33

Owen is so fucking irritating

Alertthecorgis · 03/11/2022 16:07

Episode 2 and although I had high hopes, it’s not great. I hate Teddy and Owen. They’re so unprofessional.

I like Griffith the intern but the rest I’m not bothered by.

Maggie and her husband fighting. Yawn.

Zola being exceptionally smart another yawn.

The characters don’t have a lot of depth and the storylines feel non existent now and I find myself very unbothered by anything bad happening to any of them.

Justme10 · 04/11/2022 18:27

I enjoyed it, if they get rid of Owen and Teddy I will like it even more!

I really liked Owen when he first came in to it, they just ruined him as a character I think.

I could Google this but why didn't they think meningococcal meningitis sooner? I flipping thought it! especially amongst students! am I missing something?

Maxaluna · 05/11/2022 18:39

I saw half of s18 about a year ago on NowTV but no longer have a subscription. Does anyone know if s18 is available anywhere without a subscription? I have amazon prime but its not free there. Thanks

I think it's just all on Disney+ now, the whole lot and all spin offs.

As subscriptions go Disney+ is my favourite of them all, especially if you have children. Definitely worth the monthly subscription cost.

I've got rid of NowTV now it doesn't have greys and debating getting rid of netflix too.

DeeofDenmark · 06/11/2022 12:25

So which episode of station do I need to watch for the tornado and where is it being streamed?
Can I ask why Miranda is not working or is that linked to station 19 and her adopting the little girl?

MapleandAcorn · 06/11/2022 12:36

Season 6 episode 1 of Station 19 is all about the Tornado.

Miranda not working is on Greys from last season (18).

Both available on Disney +.

pastabest · 06/11/2022 14:42

Miranda isn't working for lots of reasons but ultimately at the end of the last series she told Meredith that 'you broke it, you fix it' meaning the hospital, and walked off.

NukaColaQuantum · 06/11/2022 15:27

Bailey was awful to Meredith, the comment about her screwing Derek even though he was married - she knows Meredith wasn’t aware, what a low fucking blow. The staff in charge are the ones that are ultimately responsible, so Bailey, Richard, etc.

I wish Teddy and Owen had stayed gone, I’m so bored of the pair of them.
