Maggie's hair looked terrific in the therapy session. Shame about what came out of her mouth.

Agree on the Jo and Linc situation, had forgotten they weren't a couple. They act 10 years married.

The interns are fun and coming into their own more.

Actually for once she had a point. He does back away and shut her out whenever things get tough. He then expects everyone to know instinctively what to do to fix a situation they know nothing about and he has refused to divulge.

I like Winston but he has been a little bit pathetic. I mean he expected to be praised and held up on a pedestal for sacrificing his career for her then got pissed that she thought he was being ridiculous instead of seeing it as some romantic gesture and " oh what a wonderful man" .

ImAvingOops · 20/04/2023 17:29

I don't know why it hasn't occurred to either of them for Winston to work in a different hospital, rather than chucking away his whole specialty.

Exactly!

See, this is why Greys IS great. Because I find Maggie so annoying and I was totally on Winston's side but while I STILL find her annoying and overall, I completely agree that she's behaved appallingly (the article being the final straw) she IS right - he does just withdraw and get all whiney and give up instead of fighting.

And this is why it can be such good television - the characters aren't two dimensional. The "good" ones have all kinds of negative personality traits and the "bad" ones aren't all bad. Meredith being a classic example - she's wonderful and also obnoxious, elusive, self absorbed etc.

Tom Koracick is another one. Can be an absolute knobber at times but there's whole other emotional side and grief.

Derek was very selfish at times

Christina was completely career driven but very aware of what she had to sacrifice to achieve what she wanted to achieve.

Webber was fatherly and reliable until it was realised that he had actually been drunk for a significant period of time unknown to everyone including the viewers.

the storylines sometimes require you to suspend your disbelief but the characters make up for it.

Ridley10 · 20/04/2023 18:43

Derek was an utter arsehole. The way he behaved was terrible.

I don’t get why Winston can’t work at another hospital. Would make the most sense. He does shut down which is obviously a big communication issue. But Maggie is just urgh. She started well but has become a bit of a cow.

Just caught up on Disney + and I'm enjoying it until the last few episodes. It's all moping about because people are moving away. Another familiar character is leaving and it's getting boring.
I want it to go back to big interesting surgeries, patient situations and genuinely gripping storylines with the characters we do have left. I like the interns but the love triangle is old and the others don't seem to have been given anything special, I don't care for link and Jo at all or teddy and hunt. Who's left? And I haven't seen an episode focussed on some interesting event in forever. I need a disaster or exciting trauma or something.

I want April and Arizona back.

I sort of agree about the older (in terms of time on the show) characters but I think the new interns are quite good. I think Yasuda is headed for a breakdown/burnout sort of situation soon.

whosaidtha · 06/05/2023 19:21

Yeah. I'm hoping that they spent so much time on Maggie to pay fan service as she's leaving. Even though I personally don't care, I wouldn't want them to do what they did with Alex.

By contrast, they really didn’t give Meredith a good send off.

SheilaFentiman · 07/05/2023 08:43

Also… Maggie said “Ellis stayed” - Ellis didn’t stay!

WeWereInParis · 07/05/2023 08:43

I think she's coming back for the season finale.

SheilaFentiman · 07/05/2023 08:44

Yeah, I hope she gets better closure then.

whosaidtha · 07/05/2023 09:39

@SheilaFentiman I think Meredith will be back. At least for a guest episode or two.
She's done all the voice overs for all but the latest episode so still presentish.

jay55 · 07/05/2023 10:50

Whilst I didn't find Amelia's love interest interesting, it feels ridiculous that her remaining storyline has been dropped without coming to anything. She should have just followed Meredith.

Maggie leaving/not leaving is just frustrating.

SheilaFentiman · 07/05/2023 12:29

@jay55 do you mean amelia should have followed Kai? Amelia has scout and is co parenting with link, she can’t really move, especially for a fairly new relationship (take note, Callie Torres!)

jay55 · 07/05/2023 12:55

No I meant Meredith. I did forget about the baby though to be fair.

SheilaFentiman · 07/05/2023 12:56

Yeah, scout has the magic invisible nanny of all Grey’s children (remember when Meredith interviewed a nanny and then we never saw her again?)

vjg13 · 09/05/2023 13:37

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Maggie has left!

AngeloMysterioso · 10/05/2023 21:40

Amelia’s vocal fry is really starting to get on my nerves

Faircastle · 11/05/2023 00:03

Was there no Station 19 this week?

WhyDoesItAlways · 11/05/2023 11:13

Faircastle · 11/05/2023 00:03

Was there no Station 19 this week?

There's no new episode on Disney+ but Wikipedia reckons there's 18 episodes this season so I'm guessing it's delayed going on disney or they're taking a break to keep up with Grey's longer season.

WeWereInParis · 11/05/2023 11:26

That's odd. There was no missing episode when they aired in America (just looking at the air dates on wiki)

SheilaFentiman · 11/05/2023 13:58

Given Ben’s injury in this one, it follows directly from the one currently on Disney so I expect they are trying not to get out of sync.
