I can't understand why he's called Andrew Fisher ( unless adopted as a child) as he's obviously not white.

Casting was really off - Joanne Froggett is older than her father in law (man from Killing Eve) in real life and they don't look much different in the show.
Unless it's meant to be an age gap relationship with the son although that has nothing to do with the show plot.

He could be an Anglo Indian.
So has an English / Irish name for generations.

Or it can be a casting thing - there's that movement now where anyone can be cast regardless if they fit the profile.
