Placemarking.

I'm from the town that the story is "loosely based on"

I shall get cross with the accent I expect. Joanne Frogatt isn't bad at doing us, but I agree they needed Vicky Mc or Neil Morrissey to help out.

I live near there!
My uncle was good friends with 'Froggy' the man that was shot in real life.

Who was the actor that Joanne Froggatt gave the Tory leaflet to?

Mark Frost?

He was Demelza's father in Poldark.

Also in The Mill & in Silent Witness a few times.

Penguinsaregreat · 14/06/2022 21:03

I've just remembered who the actor married to David Morrisey's character is; she played Laura the pathologist in Lewis.

FuzzyPuffling · 14/06/2022 21:23

That village is greener and prettier than any I know.

FuzzyPuffling · 14/06/2022 21:25

Scott looks well.dodgy.

cheeseisthebest · 14/06/2022 21:43

Joanne Froggetts father in law looks the same age as her? Strange casting? Although I like the actor playing him, don't know the characters name. The train driver. Doesn't look old enough to be her husbands dad? Or is her husband meant to be a lot younger than her?

FuzzyPuffling · 14/06/2022 21:46

I can't understand why he's called Andrew Fisher ( unless adopted as a child) as he's obviously not white.

Howeverdoyouneedme · 14/06/2022 21:54

Had to go upstairs during the wanking scene to sort kids. Have I missed anything?

Who's Andrew Fisher?
I'm not sure of any of the characters names!

Howeverdoyouneedme · 14/06/2022 21:59

Jesus I just screamed at the end

Penguinsaregreat · 14/06/2022 22:00

Well I wasn't expecting that.

Yes!! Ray Crosby from Corrie. Thank you.

IVFPrayingForBioChild · 14/06/2022 22:14

Casting was really off - Joanne Froggett is older than her father in law (man from Killing Eve) in real life and they don't look much different in the show.
Unless it's meant to be an age gap relationship with the son although that has nothing to do with the show plot.

He could be an Anglo Indian.
So has an English / Irish name for generations.

Or it can be a casting thing - there's that movement now where anyone can be cast regardless if they fit the profile.

Yup, it's really annoying me.

cheeseisthebest · 14/06/2022 22:17

I was 20 minutes behind, good ending!

UrsulaPandress · 14/06/2022 22:21

I too am confused by the ages of Joanne Froggat and her father in law

Jadecarrot · 14/06/2022 22:22

I screamed too! Wasn't expecting that!

Penguinsaregreat · 14/06/2022 22:36

I think the father in law does look older and certainly acts older/boring. There again I think Joanne Frogget looks great.
He would have driven me mad too.

dustandroses · 14/06/2022 23:25

Bally Gill who plays Neel Fisher is 12 years younger than Joanne Froggatt.

RJnomore1 · 14/06/2022 23:26

Crikey thst took me by surprise! Got to wait til Monday now 😫

Xmasbaby11 · 14/06/2022 23:27

I didn't see the ending coming! I was assuming the second death would be connected. I was enjoying the weird family dynamics.

Still not quite got who's who and v distracted by all the big names - but I love it! Glad it's over 3 weeks so I can't binge.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/06/2022 23:49

She looked pretty dead lying on that floor, Blondes, with her eyes open and blood coming out the back of her head. I think that's what I saw, anyway. (Small TV screen!)
