Changing Rooms tonight. Anyone watching?

I’m so excited to see the return of Changing Rooms tonight on Channel 4. I used to love watching the show in the ‘90s with my mum when I lived at home. I remember doing some very dodgy stencilling in my mum’s front room after being inspired by a makeover!

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will in it so there should be some extreme makeovers. Will anyone else be watching?

Plus the other blue wall looked exactly like a garage door ffs.

I quite liked the peacock theme idea of LLB, but I do find he comes across as quite arrogant tbh.

The swing seat was just so impractical, despite looking OK.

Plus what happened to hiding the TV in the wall unit and the fireplace matching the floor - or whatever nonsense he was spouting earlier on in the episode???

His face on the door was juts creepy though 😐

Did anyone else notice that one of the designers of the Shantay Swansea room was wearing the exact same colours of the walls? Pink and dark blue!

Just watched it 😂😂😂 Was the owner real or an actor? He didn't bat an eyelid at their annihilation of his period room!

Jeez that was awful and why did that designer appear to spend most of the show in blue and white polka dot pyjamas!

Watched 15 minutes hoping to rekindle some fond distant memory from my childhood. Only to find LLB still wearing the same thing he wore 20 years ago (and not in a good way) and up to his usual tricks of being told the home owner hates pink and then producing pink. I really miss Anna Ryder Richardson, Handy Andy and the other female designer whose name escapes me. It does feel like the LLB show but I think it highlights that it never was the LLB show as the other original team are missed.

Linda Barker? There was an Oliver somebody who was in some of the later series.

Different programme, but whatever happened to Justin and Colin the Scottish couple who were designers/developers,?

I thought Lawrence was hilarious with his “up and over garage door” reference and I was also strangely distracted by his leather trousers, which he appeared to ‘fill’ quite well

Re the fireplace/floor/wall combo - he used the TV as a fireplace by putting a ‘living fire’ video on!
