I saw the first series (which was good and guessed who killed his wife) but no need to watch it before this one as different stories

A teacher Sally was accused of having an affair and killing a student schoolboy 16yr Matty Taylor

Sally always said she was innocent but went to prison for 5yrs

Now she is out and trying to restart her life , but her husband Sam filed for divorce and has a new partner and getting married

Can only assume new evidence comes to light hence her freedom, but the real killer still needs to be found ........

I really liked the first series so hope this will be good

It did feel a bit like they were using gay sexuality as shock value which in my opinion is a bit last century...

Lazy over long and incredibly unrealistic drama in my opinion.

How were the women affording those houses on production line wages?

Sorry about the production line comment - getting confused with the equally dreadful 'The Pact'.! Blush

It wasn't so much the gay thing that bothered me as such, more that they made it out to be really seedy.
Not quite the same, in fact not the same at all but a few years ago I was in hospital with my asthma, they were pretty much taking me to bits and testing for everything/anything that might be affecting it.
Anyway they told me exactly what they were doing and why etc yet when they asked if they could do an HIV test, and then gave me the results they whispered.
Why?
Everything else, totally normal voice, HIV must be whispered.Hmm

Just watched this. I found the ending unbelievable, especially with him hitching up with the governor. Also why do people have to be 100% straight or 100% gay in TV dramas. He had sexual relationships with 2 women, he can obviously be aroused by sex with women. Why can't he be bisexual? Is being bisexual not seen as being as deserving of sympathy or something? It's like married male TV celebs announcing they are gay rather than bisexual. Him being a young vulnerable school boy and the huge power imbalance seemed to be glossed over

I just watched this. I thought the best thing about it was the school governor chair and her simmering rage - she stole every scene she was in imho.

Ending was typical itv drama meh.
