INNOCENT - starts 17th may - MON TO THUR - ITV 9pm

I saw the first series (which was good and guessed who killed his wife) but no need to watch it before this one as different stories

A teacher Sally was accused of having an affair and killing a student schoolboy 16yr Matty Taylor

Sally always said she was innocent but went to prison for 5yrs

Now she is out and trying to restart her life , but her husband Sam filed for divorce and has a new partner and getting married

Can only assume new evidence comes to light hence her freedom, but the real killer still needs to be found ........

I really liked the first series so hope this will be good

I hardly recognised Katherine Kelly in this, normally she is quite glamorous but in this she seemed quite dowdy

She had just got out of prison! In fact in a remarkabley short time her hair stopped being lank and plastered to her head, through being pulled back with a less heavy fringe, and then highlights. All achieved apparently without going to the hairdresser.

What was really strange was I watched on catch up and just before it started they did a trailer for ITV dramas and it featured her! Looking extremely glamourours and at one point throwing down a ITV script. For a moment I thought the series had started until she open a reserve cupboard of drink where there was a man tied up and gagged. Hmm

@stumbledin. I’ve just seen same ad.

I think she's on the list because theres 2 series, I saw that last night. Her friends husband Alf was listed too.

The listings say she was in 8 episodes... The characters from the first series say 4 episodes.

I thought Matty's father might be Anna Stamp' father and that's why she has been so emotional about him. But we don't know who her dad is - could it be the guy from the pub who got glased?

Oh Karen has done something bad hasn't she?! Looks like she's been stalking Sam for years when he was with Sally. And on the first episode she said to Sam while romping on the stairs with him that "she'd forgive him anything" which I thought was odd at the time but after her weird behaviour tonight it's making her look as guilty as sin.

Quite liking Katherine Kelly in this.

The characters don't really ring true for me but it's still enjoyable.

Sally doesn't seem bitter / angry enough to me. Why would she want her old job? And her ex who rejected her? Surely she'd prefer a fresh start. Unless she is guilty of the affair with Matty.

I thought Sally would have a makeover and look a bit more glam like KK does in other roles!

The actor who plays Sam is 48. It looks like Lucy Black, who plays Mattie's mum, was born in 1974, making her 47. So supposedly 30 when she met him - if she met him, and if they are meant to be the age they are! But I personally think Blackpool is a red herring!
