I saw the first series (which was good and guessed who killed his wife) but no need to watch it before this one as different stories

A teacher Sally was accused of having an affair and killing a student schoolboy 16yr Matty Taylor

Sally always said she was innocent but went to prison for 5yrs

Now she is out and trying to restart her life , but her husband Sam filed for divorce and has a new partner and getting married

Can only assume new evidence comes to light hence her freedom, but the real killer still needs to be found ........

I really liked the first series so hope this will be good

I'll be watching again tomorrow. I can't remember what I saw KK in lately, but her voice was pretty unbearable and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to watch her in this, but she sounds normal enough.

The new fiancée is a awful. Murderous or not!

She was in Liar as a detective and she was horrendously irritating.

Yes, just looked her up on IMBD and I think that was the one. The voice and the attitude. Very smug, if I remember.

This kept being trailered as if it followed on from the first series and I spent most of the programme trying to rack my brain whenever the past was mentioned.

So, thanks for letting us know its unrelated to the first series, Blondes . I may watch it again tomorrow with fresh eyes !!

Really though the police detective looked familiar.

I hardly recognised Katherine Kelly in this, normally she is quite glamorous but in this she seemed quite dowdy. Spoke differently too. Well that's acting I guess!

I think it was her ex. Something dodgy about him! There is something strange about the parents of the dead boy too...

Do we know what's happened to the policeman's daughter (whose birthday he was celebrating on his own)?

I think police officer's daughter is dead. Hence the looks his colleagues exchanged when he said it was his daughter's birthday and he had to go home.

I quite liked it. Kelly seemed to swing from being a victim to being unlikeable. When she saw her old boss she did seem a bit unhinged but then you would if you'd been in prison for something you hadn't done. A new start in a new town would have seemed a good idea though.

The shag on the stairs was a bit unnecessary in my clenched opinion

DH was also clenching at the shag on the stairs in case the bullying teen appeared.

Was interested till I saw the name Katherine Kelly .... can't stand her, no doubt she'll be loudly chewing gum with open mouth, as does every character played by her.

She had just got out of prison! In fact in a remarkabley short time her hair stopped being lank and plastered to her head, through being pulled back with a less heavy fringe, and then highlights. All achieved apparently without going to the hairdresser.

What was really strange was I watched on catch up and just before it started they did a trailer for ITV dramas and it featured her! Looking extremely glamourours and at one point throwing down a ITV script. For a moment I thought the series had started until she open a reserve cupboard of drink where there was a man tied up and gagged.

I’m not a fan of Katherine Kelly either I’m afraid. She’s prone to overacting IMO, it’s either that or constant pouting (which is I assume her “serious expression”). Still, this looks intriguing enough so far. Obviously they are lining up a load of suspects but it’s difficult to be involved because we know virtually nothing about the boy or the circumstances of his death at this point, so that needs to be developed a bit more.

Didn't watch that. Was shocked he is only 47. Looks quite old.

I really like K Kelly in this. Wouldn’t we all want our lives back if innocent? But yes head teacher was horrified at the idea!

Currently making my way through Episode 1, and quite enjoying it. One thing I would say though, Sam and Karen are completely mismatched as a couple. Not a great bit of casting there.
