Loki (Disney+ starting June 11): MCU fans assemble!

Loki starts on Disney+ on June 11!

I know it’s a way away but I thought I’d start a thread for pre-amble pondering discussion seeing as Falcon and the Winter Soldier is over now and we no longer have a weekly MCU fix for a while!

Sometimes I’m wary of trailers, I don’t like to know too many details in advance, but this is good, it doesn’t spoil anything just nicely teases the theme and tone, and looks to be some good chemistry between Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson.

I really like how WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and now Loki are all so different in feel.

Oh and if you’re not a MCU addict want to catch up with the story so far, then this article lists which movies to watch beforehand (nine of them!!!) but really, you could just watch two - the first Thor and Avengers movies, and then jump to Loki from there and you’d be in the same place as our protagonist. It’d be really interesting to hear that perspective actually!

REALLY enjoyed that episode. The actress who plays Sylvie has bags of charisma and can do loads with a very short scene and almost no dialogue. Finally gripped and excited to know what happens next!

Only 2 left!! With Winter Soilder was a bit meh where is this going.. with this however. Dont want it to end! We need more Loki

Do you think the Loki nexus event happens when they are happy or feel they’re not alone? I really hope Loki wasn’t going to profess his love for Sylvie because that’s so... incest (selfcest??).

The series is so good. Sylvie asking Loki if he’s ok and he can’t speak because he’s just made and lost his first friend. Heart wrenching.

I’m sure Richard E Grant was ecstatic to play Loki... until he saw his costume. Haha

I thought tonight's episode was great after a disappointing episode 3. Sad that there's only two more.

AHHH THAT WAS AWESOME.

I would be gutted if we were without Owen Wilson for the next two episodes but I'm guessing we are not. I'm a little in love with Sylvie/Lady Loki myself and as much as I'd rather, from an interest perspective, not have them go down the road of falling in love, I have to say that Hiddleston is selling it.

This is my favourite of the MCU shows so far, and I didn't have high expectations.

I loved this episode! I just love Loki & Sylvie. Gasped outloud at several points in the episode.

Just watched ep4 this morning. LOVE IT!!!!

Sylvie believes just her existing as female is her nexus event :-(

Not sure where I am on Loki/Sylvie lurve….bit ick.

I called it on the timekeepers not being real! Need to rewatch that scene, there was so much reverb on their voices I couldn’t understand what they were saying.

I wonder where everyone else who has been zapped goes? Their own personal world populated by variants of themselves?

I do think it says something about Loki's narcissism that the first time he experiences real romantic feelings is essentially for himself

Also, Richard E Grant is possibly the only human on earth who could have made that costume look dignified.

That was a brilliant episode, I proper screamed when Mobius got zapped I think I scared the cat with the noise I made at the reveal of the Lokis at the end. I’m so excited to see where this goes

Episode 3 I lost the will till the end where there was a flicker of plot I'm glad to read It picked up will watch today I'm sad that I'm not loving it I really really wanted too

I can't really connect with the criticism of ep 3. I loved the Loki connection and I wouldn't describe an episode involving being thrown off a moving train and a planet crashing into a moon as slow. There are definitely two distinct camps on that episode, but ep 4 seems to be uniting.

This is the first time I've wished that one of the spinoff serieses were longer. WandaVision didn't really fulfil its promise and FATWS was a hot mess with not enough hot Sam and Bucky action.

I didn't think it was slow I thought it was too chaotic but in.a wtf is going on way the middle especially Im just meh about it !

There seem to be very strong rumours of a second season of Loki, so 🤞🏻

I hope there’s a second series too. I really hope Loki reunites with Thor at some point, he’d totally give Thor a hug now.

Trying to rewatch the timekeepers scene and Disney plus is continually buffering with slow speeds. Does anyone else have that issue? DP is adamant it’s not our internet but an issue with the Disney server.
